Extremely too early to speculate but for shits & giggles
East
1) Florida
2) Vanderbilt
3) South Carolina
4) Tennessee
5) Kentucky
6) Missouri
7) Georgia
West
1) LSU
2) Ole Miss
3) State
4) TAMU
5) Auburn
6) Alabama
7) Arkansas
Comments: Florida, Vandy & LSU will be the elite of the conference next year. A&M will still be good. I expect there the rest to come down to 1-2 games separation.
Hard to imagine Arkansas finishing DFL a 2nd straight year so I doubt it happens. Georgia will suck and mostly likely will Missouri...though Houck is one of the best in the conference. If De la Montes (sp) is finally healthy that would be a big spark of them.
Really hard to speculate at this point.
Auburn is a big sleeper, I think. They lose some talented and experienced position players in Grier, Palacios, Ebert, Buentello, but their pitching should be greatly improved with the return of Keegan Thompson, plus Mize and some in-comers, Davis Daniel, possibly Jordan Balazonvic...plus Daniel Sprinke, Klobosits, Mitchell, etc.
Arkansas should still be decent-to-okay offensively with Shadday, Bonfield, and improvement/developemnt of other guys such as Eric Cole, Grant Koch, Cody Scroggins, etc. Key will be Wes Johnson working with and and developing their staff.
Could it finally be a year Serrano makes a run in Knoxville? Probably not but possible.
South Carolina could make some noise with Clarke Schmidt, Wil Crowe, and Adam Hill being possibly the top weekend rotation in the conference. The bats, though?
Alabama is "close" every year and I imagine it will be similar in 2017.
State loses a TON but they'll replace it, relatively speaking. Expect Mangum to digress a bit, just natural. But if they get Rooker back...Luke Alexander, Cole Gordon, Elih Marrero, Hunter Stovall, just the next names to learn.
LSU should win 20+ games, IMO. Same with Florida or Vanderbilt, I think.
Again though it's really early and this is kinda dumb to make right now esp off the top of my head but I love baseball and I'm a dork.
Thoughts?

Took me a minute to realize this was a baseball thread.

Ole Miss is bringing in a monster class and we bring back Blackman, Bortles, Olenek, Golsan and 3 pitchers that were freshman All Americans... We'll be in it for a Regional host come June.

Yeah I'm definitely giggling. Your East "predictions" are stupid at best.

What position will Olenek play? Golsan? If you had to guess a lineup right now who would it be?
C- Fortes? Dillard? Johnson? etc?
1B-
2B- Blackman
3B- Bortles
SS- Kessinger from day one?
LF-
CF-
RF-
I know Golsan is not a natural 1B. Where does he move, if so? Ryan Watson work his way into lineup?
Seems like Bianco is hesitant to play young catchers

I went about 3 paragraphs down before I realized that too

Mizzou's defense might be better this year than last year. Hard to think our offense will be worse. I think a lot of folks kind of overlook Mizzou a little. I don't think they have any chance at the division really but they will be better than last year.

I got to this part and realized it was either a bad troll or a baseball thread.

Woops. In that case you have Mizzou too high.

Stop with the baseball threads. That season is over and about 1% of the population cares while it's in progress.

No thanks. Feel free to not read the threads or have a 1,000th argument about what football team has the best uniforms, coldest/hottest game you've attended or "best RB in the sec."

Nobody is forcing you to read about baseball, fascist.

If Jake Latz is healthy enough to start all season him and Lange will be one of the best 1-2 combos in the country. If Poche is back that will be the best rotation in baseball. Lot of ifs there but there are other guys available that will make it solid even if the ifs don't pan out.
Lineup will be sick. Only losing Fraley and have several studs coming in that will push for playing time. Could end up as good as the 2013 lineup that won 23 sec games.
Defensively with Kramer and Freeman back that will keep the middle infield strong. Reid was ok at third but he will be pushed by some incoming freshman as well as guys like Trey Dawson and Brady Wofford who both have tons of potential. I think Greg Deichmann is destined to move to right field which leaves first base open. I'm hoping Bryce Adams or Romero can take that spot over. Would be nice to get another power bar in the lineup.
Outfield would se set at center and right with Duplantis and Deichmann. Left would be between Cody Ducote the Jordan twins and Brennan Breaux. One of those three that doesn't get the spot would probably DH.
I would think anything less than a deep Omaha run would be a disappointment for that team barring a shite ton of injuries.

I appreciate the reply. My thoughts as non-LSU fan but following them relatively closely.
I don't expect Poche to be back, but if he is that's huge for LSU, obviously. Latz, his potential, is key as you mentioned.
Lange-Latz-Gilbert would be an incredible weekend rotation potentially.
As for the lineup, as many legit position battles for y'all as I can remember in recent years...yet so many guys that "deserve" to play, if that makes sense. In other words, Alabama's recently had a lot of flexibility, but many of them sucked.
Unlike this past year, very few spots for a freshman or newcomer to get meaningful AB's based on what's coming back. Naturally, I'd like for someone to regress some and possibly lose AB's (like Chris Reid for example).
Diechmman to RF you think? I was wondering about 3B? I figure if a freshman has a shot to play it would be Slaughter in OF but I'm just spit-balling there but I know he can fly.
I could for sure possibly see some platoons (Wofford/Bryce Jordan for example).

Auburn will struggle scoring next year but the pitching should be near the top in the conference. I see a lot of 2-1 games in our future.
