This was the simplest solution and was offered up years ago. Maybe with Spurrier behind the plan it will pick up some supporters.

Let's all rotate, UT-Bama feel free to continue playing, your game just might be a non-conference game some years.

Everyone gets what they want...a more balanced schedule for everyone, and the Tide-Vols get to keep the game that seems to be holding up scheduling evolution.

because this is another Spurrier vs Saban thread. No one asked which one you would take.
Spurrier is Spurrier like it or not, he DGAF. Someone asks him a question and he answers it with what he thinks is the truth. DWI

How many has he racked up after coming back from the league?

Probably the same amount Nick would have if he was at South Carolina.

Believe me, the SEC office and the BAMA grad who makes the schedule will make sure you'll get your wish.

Did I give a preference over which coach I would take to lead my team, or did I imply that I prefer honest answers?

Comparing USCe-Clemson to the third Saturday is ...well...was that the best he could do?

And no. That game is a conference game or its not a game at all. That's just silly. If the perms die then sadly Bama and UT die. As does UGA and AU but there may not be a choice with 14 teams much less 16. We will play when the schedule dictates and fill UT's spot with a mid-major from the mountain west. Whatever they do we'll be fine. The game will probably go away but the memories wont. Unless we get moved to east which I have no idea why Bama isn't pushing for. Myself and several others have emailed Battle with that request but I doubt it happens. Why, I don't know. Everyone and I mean everyone I know says let's move. AU, ya'll come on too. I would love for football season to roll around every year and our OPENING game is the Gators. The media buzz that would create every August. GT comes back on the schedule, A trip to Columbia, Nashville in early OCT with some good, cool Tennessee weather and then the 3rd Saturday in the smokies when 10,000 Bama fans invade Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The heck with driving to Baton Rouge, Fayettnam or College station. Too far away to enjoy those anyway. Would miss the short hop to Starvegas and Oxford though but I couldn't care less about playing them anyway. USM was most always a more formidable opponent and that's just the way it was. Again, don't know why. Maybe because half the team was from Bama.

Just send us to the east and UT to the west. The iron bowl needs a timeout, and UGA/UF are more of our traditional rivals vs LSU/Arky/TAMU

Would work, but I don't know if the league would want to get rid of the Iron Bowl.

Glad spurrier is giving suggestions, but it's good how it is.

Two other coaches have as well. How many other coaches have won them at South Carolina?

So the odds aren't as good. Still possible as weak as the east has been and how much talent they have in state.
