Wasn't Spurrier something like 5-2 vs Dabo?

I think we can sure that it wasn't Clemson that did it.

Please do not deflect. Big Phil rolled the entire state of Alabama up unlike anything we had seen before or since.

I feel pretty confident Grayson Lambert setting an NCAA passing record is what made Spurrier quit.

Losing to Tennessee is embarrassing, like losing to Vandy or Georgia Southern type embarrassing. good thing it only happens once every 12 years or so.

That's just flat out false. Fulmer was 11-5 (.687) against Bama as a head coach, and 17-16-1 overall, including his time as a player.

Bryant and Saban have both had longer streaks against Tennessee than UT has ever had against Bama at any point in history. Hell, Saban is undefeated vs Tennessee at Bama, and the last time he lost to UT as a head coach of any program, Tom Brady had yet to start a single NFL game.

I am very worried about the mental health of SEC head coaches Kirby Smart, Jim Mac, and Barry Odom after another embarrassing loss to Butch Jones in 2017.

Mark Stoops, on the other hand, must have balls of steel to face his team and fans after 4 straight embarrassing Ls to Lyle Allen.

I love when opinions are presented as absolute statements.

Doubt it. UT/UGA has been a 1 possession game for 5 years

User Tuscaloosa, I'm pretty sure neither of those streaks rolled up the State of Alabama. I do not think we are internetting on the same level atm and that's ok.

Probably why the game caught up to him.

Not a game to Saban... look where that got him.

In 2014, you had NINE players arrested in one incident.

That incident was underage drinking. Something I'm sure most of you have done.

Jackson was kicked off the team after a year. A couple of years later he killed someone. From what I understand, he's got some serious mental issues.

What does that even mean? Bryant beat you clowns 11 years straight. Saban has beaten you 10 years straight by an average margin of victory of more than 3 touchdowns. Saban has literally destroyed Tennessee football.

Well, losing to Kentucky would make me quit coaching. I'd definitely see a shrink and probably become addicted to huffing glue.

As Spurrier himself once said "Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes, you lose to Kentucky ".

He's from Johnson City, TN. Nice of him to admit TN broke his will at least.
