"There is an apathy at Florida that concerns me more than the record. I talked to Steve Spurrier a couple weeks ago, (he said), ‘Ah, there’s not much buzz going on around here.’ I talked to a reporter the other day, he said the same thing. Talked to a former player, Thaddeus Bullard, last week and everyone’s saying the same thing. There’s just no excitement.

I’m not planning on going to any games. I’m planning on them going 4-8 with a hole loss to ucf and a blowout loss to Miami before they even get to that gauntlet of a conference schedule. Already thin as it is due to years of bad roster building They could be very beat up after the Georgia game and then they still have 4 more top 15 teams to play after that with some walkons. The nice thing is there’s nothing to be disappoint in. You know what’s coming. The uaa wanted this now they get to deal with the fallout

Like to see gator athletics being run so poorly the uaa and the old guard boosters just frick everything up like they did with their granddads money and such… the worse they get the more genius I look. I want them to win but since they aren’t and it’ll get worse house money

The boosters the uaa their stupid frickin old Florida political boysclub…. Thecaw just runs circles around them are we’re just getting started. Hopefully when the football program totally collapses they’ll try to find much smarter boosters/alumni to fill roles!Hire mark Pantoni !

If we had a top 10 team we'd be looking at 9-3 with our schedule.

We have a, best case scenario, top 25 team so we're hoping for 6-6. Who would be excited for that? 2025 with Lagway will be the most excited year for Florida football since 2007.

Do you think Napier will be the coach for that year?

I think if he gets to 8 wins he will be back. Maybe even 7. But no way can he come back after 3 straight losing seasons, can he?

Napier is done, he's a dead man walking, he hasn't already been fired because of his buyout. After another year, it becomes affordable, and Florida is and has been scouting other coaches for his replacement. He'd have to win 10 games for the aau to keep him. I don't think he'll even make it through the season to even have the opportunity to win 10. Florida will want to be in the coaching carousel early.

Best chance to get one will have to come from UGA. Any good assistants ready to be a HC? Maybe Will Muschamp will come back for a second time around tour starting at Florida.

Florida will be under ranked all year, better than their record. Florida will get a big win next near. If it comes early could reverse the trajectory.

If he gets to 6 wins, he'll be back for sure.

‘Ol Steve never pulled any punches.

If not “admired”, I’ve at least always “respected” his brutal honesty.

…and Steve Spurrier’s “honesty” has a long and distinguished history of being pretty fricking “brutal

Maybe his many long years on this Earth have somewhat tempered his thoughts & opinions somewhat?

…maybe just “somewhat”?

I could possibly see him trying adopt the practice of: “If you can’t say something nice, say nothing at all

From that perspective, I truly believe he might actually have been intending & genuinely trying to “say something nice

But, c’mon?…coming from Coach Spurrier?…that’s about as “nice” as you’re gonna get

I’ve said this before and I’ll say again. Dave Clawson is guy Florida needs to hire. He’s been at Wake for 10 years and while not a splash hire with UF recruiting and resources he would be a tremendous hire. Florida does it’s best when they have a offensive scheme that stands out and the Clawffense would give them an edge with the athletes they recruit in Florida. Clawson has consistently gotten Wake Forest to blow games with no resources, no fan support, and recruiting support. At Florida he would be a home run hire for a program that’s struggled to make good hires (it took the Vols a while to get the right guys in place too).

That's extremely disheartening. There's buzz around South Carolina football and we sucked even more than UF did last year lol.

Poor Gators! Boo hoo! We all should feel sorry for them. But after those years of them cheating big time and lording their success over everyone I don’t.
They are finally getting their comeuppance. They are a demanding, impatient bunch of “entitled” folks who are to blame for their downfall.
They treat coaches and players like crap when they don’t win. They start up websites like FIreRonZook and harass coaches and players non stop. Why would any top level coach chose to put up with this? Most won’t. That’s why they have SunBelt Billy.
