Well its Spurrier, people get worked up about him even though he a lot of the things he's accused of saying are either taken out of context or misquoted. He took a mild shot at Arkansas and UT, but you will note he then said USCe was celebrating going 7-6 as well and the cartwheels and high fiving line was about the Gamecocks.
A lot of folks around the conference love to hate the HBC but when you read the actual transcripts of his press conferences he's usually just as likely to poke fun at himself or his ball club as another team. He has fired off his share of zingers over the years but Spurrier is much more mild mannered now then he was at his glory days in Florida.

lol yes you are getting old and losing your edge guess how I know... in the old days spurrier would take shots at the top teams in the league now he's reduced to taking shots at the bottom... expectations must be high in USCe this year.

I have always liked spurrier... Love his jabs, makes the season/preseason more tolerable for sure.
And yes, we have the series well in hand and most cock fans were thankful it ended because of it..
So, let it go and enjoy the last few years of an elderly, funny, well respected coach.
