looking lost reading the defense.

he wasn't reading the defenses. That was the problem. Same thing happened against Boise in the first half. He wasn't going through his progressions and was predetermining where he was going to throw the ball before the snap. When he does what he's supposed to, he's good. And if he shows up on Saturday and plays like that, Alabama is going to have issues.

I give Dubose credit for one thing, and only one: he stripped the entitlement and lofty expectations right out of our hearts. I now appreciate the wins.

Some of us seemed to have gotten the entitlement back, or may be too young to remember the Dubose era. Not me.

I don't know how anybody who grew up during the 90's could ever become complacent about Alabama football. DuBose, Fran leaving, probation, "Destiny", Shula and no memories of the "glory days" (outside of 1992). We earned our stripes.

It's on baby !!! Vegas is a believer in that Rebel D.

If the Tide is the #1 team in the country and we are only a 4 point dog then we are a legit top 8 team.

Vegas just trying to drain MS of all that foolish money first.

We really won't know anything until Saturday. The closest thing we've seen to a game was a Boise team that lost by 2 TD's to Air Force.

I'm not entitled. I'm just a realist.

I've watched us shite on teams during the first few months of the season since 2008. I would personally be all over that spread.

I hope Ole Miss can somehow get the win (obviously), but I think Bama wins and covers, probably by 10 or 10+.

No offense, but I just can't buy Ole Miss winning with Wallace at qb. He is a great competitor but just screws up too often.

The Boise game is the only Ole Miss game I have watched and I haven't watched any of bama this year except the first quarter of the UF game so hopefully I'm wrong.

Ole Miss was only a 14.5 pt dog last year and lost by 25. Guess they used the same formulas for Bo too.

What ?!?

Last year's spread came out around 19 and settled at 21.

Ole Miss fans have to think they have a chance to put money on the game.

Ole Miss - Alabama 2013 Line

The Wynn opened Alabama as an 18-point favorite on Sunday, but sharp money immediately thought the line was too high, and surprisingly, the public has followed along.

The sharp bets are understandable, because they’re always looking for value, especially against a team like Alabama that typically lays a few points more points than its ratings suggests. The spread is inflated by oddsmakers to offset the public appeal of the team. But in this instance, a few books are reporting that Ole Miss is attracting close to equal parlay action (public play) in money and ticket counts, as well as more money on straight bets.

“Wise money on Mississippi pushed us from 16 to 14.5,“ William Hill sports book director Nick Bogdanovich said, ”and we’re weighted a little on the parlays off the board with Alabama, but that’s only because of a couple large money-line parlays that have Alabama (-600) tied in.”

To be fair, Ole Miss should have covered with ease last year. They fricked themselves badly all night. That could have been a one possession type game.

No. They could have kicked a few FGs, but that's about it.

If I'm picking Bama to win, I'd take that line all day long. How many times in the last few years has a winning Bama team won by less than two scores? Can't be more than 2-3 times. One of the LSU games, and there was that comeback against one of the Petrino Arkansas teams, iirc (amazing game to watch.) So the odds are, a winning Bama leaves with a comfortable margin.

Obviously, if I'm pick OM to win, that's different.

Edit: I should say "last 4 years" because I know that 2009 team had a couple close calls.

Yep. Just like I'm going to be able to look at yours after you said it was going to be a blowout. It's funny you think you're going to destroy us because you beat an awful Florida team

Ole miss is not much better than Florida.

You guys aren't some unstoppable force. You looked very beatable in your West Virginia game and for three quarters against Florida.

And Ole Miss is a stoppable force; Alabama proved that the past 2 seasons. Alabama looked poor versus Virginia Tech and Texas A&M last season, but what impact did those games have on the Ole Miss game? Alabama's defense has practically been an immovable object for Hugh Freeze's offense the past 2 seasons. What's going to be the difference this year?

Ole Miss looked very beatable for three quarters of the Boise State game. See how that works?

I get the feeling you truly believe Ole Miss is a lot better than they really are.

Alabama's B game beats an Ole Miss A game.

You're Ole Miss. Don't forget that
