When LSU returns a team as stacked as we are this year nothing gets me more amped than national publications sleeping on us preseason.
No worries, LSU has a history of making people eat it...then they will overrate us for the next 3-4 years as we fail to meet expectations. It is a vicious cycle.

Just curious where would you put Ole Miss?

Damn our end of season collapse last year killed any good will we built up. UF gonna have to try and earn our way back up again.

I think we have the potential to be pretty good with Chad Kelly, but I would probably put us around 12-15 right now with the uncertainty on the offensive line and losing the 3 guys we did. With everything LSU returns they should be top 5.
If we beat Florida State I can see us moving all the way up to the top 5 no matter where we are in the preseason polls to give the Ole Miss-Bama matchup in Oxford even more hype.

Gotta admit, i am shocked, too. I would have expected at LEAST a top 15 ranking, and maybe a bit higher.

Returning QBs and returning offensive linemen are usually a good indicator.
For returning QBs, we have:
Clemson - Watson
OU - Mayfield
tOSU - Barnett
Baylor - Russell
Ole Miss - Kelly
ND - Kizer or Zaire
All of those guys have the ability to carry a team to perform above their overall talent level.
Alabama is just there because they are Alabama. The talent level is so high in Tuscaloosa that they'll find a way to win.
