Fine. LSU's campus was strange. I was shocked when I realized most don't even speak English. The hygiene of most of the tailgaters left a lot to be desired. For a state known for their food, I have to say most tasted subpar.

at least try and hide your immaturity and butthurt with something funny and/or original.

Texas A&M (1x) and by far the worst "SEC" experience I've had. It's a weird culture and the tailgating scene left a lot to be desired.

I'm not trolling. It was bad.

I personally would suggest giving it another shot when both teams aren't playing a non-traditional Thanksgiving Day game at the end of a disappointing season, but I do realize that short flight/6.5 hour drive is tough because frick aggy amirite?

This argument for me is invalid because Texas A&M essentially held us hostage and demanded it be played then. Had it been out of their control I'd understand.

Bama
LSU
UGA
UF
AU
MSU
OM

My favorite was UGA due to their awesome bar scene. LSU, Bama and OM are nice as well. Didn’t get to see much of Auburn

Went to Tennessee as well. Enjoyed Calhoun’s on the River

To be fair, A&M wanted Thursdays and LSU wanted Fridays, so the compromise was that when we played in CS, it would be on Thursday, and when we played in BTR, it would be on Fridays.

It didn't last long because I think the networks realized that the Thursday game between LSU/A&M didn't have the draw the A&M/Texas game did, and the networks wanted to move the Iron Bowl to Friday.

A&M/LSU is now played on Saturdays, and I'm ok with that.

ETA: I'm wrong about the Iron Bowl in Fridays. Derp.

I'm almost positive LSU did not want the Friday game. And the Iron Bowl hasn't been on a Friday since 2010 so I'm pretty sure there's something wrong there. As far as I know LSU made a big push to play it's home games on Saturday again which it has done in 2015 and 2017 (all the available games since dropping Arkansas as its end of year opponent).

Baton Rogue. I can't imagine spending 4 years in a place like that.

I can't imagine you spending 15 minutes in Baton Rouge without getting your face punched in.

It's best for all concerned that you just stay in your safe space in College Station.

Other than USC, I've been to the following:

Georgia - Pretty campus, just hilly. The projects adjacent to campus bring it down a little.
Florida - my first SEC road trip. I actually liked the campus and don't understand the hate it gets.
Vanderbilt - Very nice campus in the middle of a big city.
Tennessee - Probably my least favorite campus. The river and Ayres Hall were nice, but overall it was underwhelming.
Auburn - Reminded me a lot of Clemson, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Also, most hospitable fans I've experienced.
Alabama - Made a quick stop there on the way to Starkville 2 years ago, but it seemed very nice. Points for having a Canes on campus.
Miss. St. - Nothing special, and the bar scene sucked.
LSU - Haven't been for a game, but I love the LSU campus. The lake and the architecture are outstanding.

This season I'm going to Ole Miss and UK, and I have high hopes for both. I want to hit up A&M and Mizzou next season. May be a while before I get to Fayetteville though.

Would have been just fine if both teams had something to play for, but that's been overturned anyway. Looking forward to the OP update putting Aggy at the top of your must see list. See ya Saturday

I think you can have fun at any SEC road trip if you’re open minded enough. Don’t be a stuffy a hole comparing everything to your campus the whole time and you’ll enjoy it. Step outside your comfort zone

shite, you're right about the IB. For some reason I thought CBS made a switch for that game to Fridays. I'm cool with all LSU games being on Saturdays. I got used to the LSU/Ark game on Fridays, but I was never a big fan of it.

Both sisters graduated from Alabama and I’ve been to Tuscaloosa too many times to count.

Had several Auburn fans as friends in HS and went to a few games.

LSU for a Troy game, not last year but maybe it was 2008.

Florida for a Troy game and a Bama game.

Starkville as a kid. We lived in meridian and my uncle is a state grad so we used to go to games often.

Vandy for a Bama game. Looked like a home game for Bama.

Outside of the SEC I’ve been to FSU, Georgia Tech, FAU, uab, probably some others I’m forgetting, and I had season tickets at Troy for about 5 years.

We do have the best grass. We are an Ag school after all. However, I would recommend avoiding the grass by the memorial unless you like to disrespect soldiers that died fighting for our country.

My trips:

Alabama - Pretty campus and tailgating was pretty fun. Likely won't go back. My interactions with Bama fans weren't very good.

Auburn - Tailgating was better than Bama and overall had a better time. Overall probably second favorite away venue to go to.

Georgia - This gameday experience is probably tops in SEC. The bar scene puts it over the top. I like tailgating at LSU better but the bars at UGA are 100x better. Stadium is nice. Fans were pretty hostile during the game but before and after they were nothing short of amazing.

Tennessee - Cool different experience tailgating on the River. Probably my least favorite stadium of them all. Small seats and the views for opponents are garbage. Still good trip to make.

Ole Miss - Probably my least memorable away trip. Grove is too "proper" for my liking and I wear collared shirts to sporting events so it's just too try hard IMO. Stadium looks like a high school field.

Florida - Stadium itself is pretty cool. The tailgating is hot garbage. Too many rules. Wasn't impressed at all.

South Carolina - Had a really good experience at South Carolina. Stadium is cool and it's probably the only experience where piped in music brings more to the table than the band does but its great. Found some really nice USC fans to party with.

Only places I really want to go to besides these is aTm for football but I can never make it because it's on Thanksgiving. I want to go to Miss St for baseball and UK for basketball.
