either an auburn game or a ut game ... the van tiffin game in '84ish comes to mind ... the doyle kick against ut ... imagine the 3-0 win against lsu in '79 is close ...

OOC - 1991 Notre Dame: The Miracle at South Bend which was one of the most epic comebacks in CFB history (both sides turned the game off at the half since #2 ND led at the half 31-7 and even then only due to a last second TD) The Vols were utterly incompetent the first half. Notre Dame had one of the most stacked rosters that year ever and they totally dominated us the first half. We won by a single point 35-34. People woke up the next day thinking ND had won.

Honorable mention: UT-Florida 98. When that field goal made it through the stadium went nuts. It was already loud enough in Neyland that you can see the cameras shaking. What a night. I'd mark that one down as most enjoyable.

Any victory with Jordan Jefferson must be pretty devastating. But for my money, beating the pigs' best team in four decades back in 2011 was pretty sweet. The shitebag to end all shitebags, Bobby Petrino was rustled AF after that one. Who the hell would ever accuse an LSU team of running up the score!?

Related. The mercy knee at the 1 yard line with 5 minutes to ply against ole miss was pretty hilarious as well.

1998 Big 12 Title Game.

Had Kansas State won, they would have played Tennessee in the first BCS title game.

Instead, they blew a 27-12 4th quarter lead and lost in 2OT on a 3rd and 17 from outside Russell Bynum's range.

Broke their program.

This would be a good spinoff thread.

For example, after LSU thrashed Arkansas to end the 2011 season, Petrino fell into a tailspin of partying, motorcycles, and extramarital affairs. His psyche couldn't handle the fact that Les freaking Miles crushed his best team after leading the Tigers 14-0.

That offseason, still blinded by rage at his misfortune, he crashed his bike, leading to the discovery of his affair with an Athletic Dept. employee.

Once he got the axe, John L. Smith took over for a year, followed by Bert. They've won 4 SEC games in the last three years (an aside--John L. Smith and Bert have the same number of SEC wins as HC).

Anyway, you can trace the utter destruction of the Arkansas program back to that fateful game. They are to the point now that two SEC wins in a season means their program is heading in the right direction.

Come to think about it, this is the exact moment that Arkansas football started swirling around the toilet bowl:

I am assuming you mean my team has suffered.

Hard not to say 2013 NCG. Although I did spend 2 days in Vegas, 2 nights in Hermosa and 1 night in San Diego, so I bounced back pretty quick

To be honest, almost losing to Utah State in 2011 hurt more than any loss I can remember

ETA: I think i misread the title Oddly enough I think my Utah State one still is relevant

I envy the embarrassment of riches a Miami fan could choose from, just with regards to FSU...

That one was tough. Would be my number 3 behind 2003 LSU and 2014 Auburn only because even if we won that game we would have been 8-4 and likely headed to Nashville.

But we did go to Nashville.

For the LSU fans, what your team did to us in the Bluegrass Miracle was the most heartbroken I've been at a football game. I don't know how you get a more heartbreaking loss when your team dumps Gatorade on your coach and your fans are hanging from the goalpost celebrating a signature victory in one end zone while the opponent is scoring the winning touchdown in the other. SMH!!

More embarrassing than heartbreaking. Shame and sadness are different emotions.

That is definitely top 5 most embarrassing losses though.

I got LSU's it has to be 2010 Tennessee
