if we're talking all sports it's:

Bear, Rupp, Pat, Skip

if it's just football:

Neyland, Bear, Spurrier, Saban

I think there is too little parity in women's college basketball to put Summit on the list as one of the 4 best coaches in any sport in SEC history. Same with swimming and diving. Also, there is too little care for it for those sports.

Bryant, Saban, Rupp, Bertman (or Spurrier)

Your high, aren't you? Saban on 2nd string, but Bertman and Summitt on 1st? Ok. Sure.

Miles on 3rd team? Based on?

Where is Wade Wallace with his 4 conference and 3 national titles? What about Frank Thomas with his 3 conference and 2 national titles? Those guys don't make it in the first 4 strings, but people like Majors, Miles, Polk, Vaught, Marsh, McClendon, etc do? You're obviously high. It's ok to admit it.

Yeah, I'm sure everyone agrees let's put a baseball coach over Nick Saban.

No disrespect to anyone This thread is stupid. The idea is stupid, anyone who wants to put a WBB coach with Bear Bryant and Gen Neyland and such just doesn't understand athletics. Again no disrespect to anyone but Jebbus H Christ when people die it doesn't mean they immediately shoot to the top of the best of list...

She is one of the greatest coaches of all time regardless of gender or sport, I think she deserves a spot. And I think a lot of people on here agree.

FWIW and as much as it pains me, I would have Bear over Neyland on there. Neyland was obviously a pioneer and an incredible coach and person who could've accomplished even more without his couple hiatuses from coaching. But what Bear accomplished is insane. There are arguments to put both of them up there though.

This is the correct answer.

Skip Bertman is as deserving as anyone.

He's not worthy. His lack of NC's and embarrassing bowl record keeps him off.

David Marsh has the most national championships in SEC history. He actually has more than Bryant and Saban combined, and did it via men's and women's sports.

Also:

NCAA Women's Coach of the Year: `01, `02, `03
NCAA Men's Coach of the Year: `94, `97 `99, `03, `04
SEC Men's Coach of the Year: `92, `93, `97, `98, `99, `01, `03, `04, `05
SEC Women's Coach of the Year: `93, `02, `03
