Ya, and I mean no disrespect to him or the program. Just do not understand the hype. I do think this is the first time in a while where the conference doesn't have a clear cut favorite heading into the season. Should be interesting this year.

I feel good about this year, but as a State fan I wouldn't be surprised if we shite the bed.
LSU will always have a monster defense and I wish we had y'all in Starkville this year, but that probably wouldn't matter.
Just how it goes.

My wife told me the other day (when I said I would rather have brisket over any type of seafood) that I am more Texan than Cajun now.
Maybe we need a team vote so I know for sure...

A QB as an important part of Air Raid offense? No way.

Another thing I don't understand is the assumption by most that it is Bama or Auburn's to lose this year...Wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with a three way tie between Bama, Auburn, and LSU for the West.
ETA: Hell, you can even throw in Ole Miss too. I just do not see Bama rolling through like they have the past few seasons. No AJ or ridiculous O-Line this year like they had the past few years...

Did anyone predict Mizzou winning the East last year? Even among Mizzou fans?
That is why these threads are worthless.

OM is still a bit thin in places, so you lost me on that one. MSU is better than ever with a healthy Dak / Robinson combo in the backfield. The days of Russell standing there getting murdered and Perkins 2 yd runs are over.
I'd hate to be a green QB in Saban's system. Talk about stress..

The rant is at its best after embarrassing news hits for some SEC team.

I think the Aggies are saying they aren't gonna go 3-8, not that they're gonna win the SEC.
All the ones I've seen say about 8-4 and I would agree with that. I think they'll use their running backs more and I think that will be a really good thing. When they beat Bama they got some great play from their running backs.
I think one thing that happens with a guy like JFF is sometimes you use him as a crutch and get away from a balanced game plan. I think they'll have a more balanced but lower scoring offense. But I also think that will benefit them when they have a lead in the 4th and want to run some time off.

TAMU loses four games with three first round draft picks including a returning Heisman winner but they're going to be better this year. Got it.

Auburn went 3-9 and has a DB playing QB but they're going to the NC this year? Got it.
