This is about how Stegeman is. From the outside and when you walk in the door, it's just a really cool setting seemlessly nestled into the middle of campus. Then you walk up the tunnels to the seats and suddenly it shows its age in a startling way. Really needs some love and, maybe, some architectural attention on the inside to bring it into the 21st century

Vandy? Are you insane?

Probably that weird looking place Missouri plays in.

At least they got rid of this court design.

This is much better.

The roll tide thin inside coleman bothers me and I hate how far away the seats are from the court

Did you search until you found the oldest and out of focus image you could find?

It was the only one on google image search that was big and showed a large view of the arena (while empty as I wanted to try to give an unbiased view between the three)

Genro I know the feeling. The gottfried and stans days were awesome. While in all honestyColeman is a shifty arena it was always packed out and loud.

Honestly Avery could replicate that success, but the excitement won't be the same. The fact that football sucked at the time had a lot to do with it. Still those were fun days. Erwin, Mo, Gerald. Pettway's layup at the buzzer to beat Florida and clinch the SEC

What's so odd about Coleman?

Coleman was great in the 80's when we regularly sold out games and it had an atmosphere. But now it's outdated, even after the renovations, and it rarely sells out. The ticket office implemented this stupid points system for priority buying, so football only Bama fans started buying basketball season tickets just for the points so they could move up the football priority list. So you walk in, and there are scores of empty seats in the lower rows.

And unless you're in the first 25 rows, or directly behind the baskets, the sight lines are pretty terrible.

They made a huge mistake by just renovating it 10 or so years ago, but that was when Shula was still the football coach and the AD wasn't as flush with money.

Maybe we should just play in Foster Auditorium. At least it would be full. I actually had a class here before they renovated, it was like going back in time.

Memorial gym is actually pretty cool. The court is legit, good if a bit cramped seating and pretty big. It has a cool, old school college basketball venue while still feeling big time. as opposed to the Tad Pad which was just sorry.

My best friend had a key to Foster when I was a student and we used to go there and shoot hoops all the time. Obviously a long time before they renovated. It was only used for volleyball at the time.

I can remember going to gymnastics meet there when Patterson was just building the program.

Raised floor is different and cool. I don't want every gym to be the same.

You'll find most Bama fans in agreement. Script A is fine, but this is the GOAT

I remember going to a game at Bama with my dad back in the late 80's early 90's and walking into a McDonalds and they had a HUGE version of that logo right in the middle of the wall. 7 year old DS knew he wasn't in Kansas anymore

ETA: I *think* it was the 88 game in Tuscaloosa

Coleman is awful. Bama needs to tear that dump down. I might go to Vandy for the first time next week. How it isn't as bad as Coleman.

Just like Neyland. At least UT keeps with the same motif.

Reed is one of the ugliest from the outside.

But its a good size with nice seating. Not too big or small. Could use better premium seating, but it was made as a multiuse facility and not just a bball arena.

What is wrong with UGA's? Besides not having the center hanging scoreboard, it looks fine.
