You can literally watch Gator fans jump on and off the bandwagon here just over the course of a season. There were 10 times as many here before they lost to UT. Literally no fanbase goes from in your face everywhere to nonexistent like the Gators

It's an acquired taste. For sure you get some bad batches here and there but a true wild organic melt like this really just can't be found that many other places. And once you've got the taste for it, really nothing else will do.

First football game I remember from start to finish was the 1993 Sugar Bowl. Also when I was 5, David Palmer saved my life. So when i was a little kid is when I became a Bama fan

Been there. Done that... GOT the printed shirt. Started on the secrant for years. I used to like it (now infrequently entertained)... but similar to the Finebaum show, you only stay sucked in for one solid stint.

lol, understandable. Some of us have been at it for even longer than that tbh, just can't get enough of the tears. 
My first Bama game was the 1991 Tulane game. Went to the Louisana Tech game in Birmingham for my second the following year. I was a young lad and my dad used to take us to the shitty ones because it was easier to get tickets that wouldnt be wasted on stupid kids who dont know the difference.

Fwiw... mine was by birth. Born and raised in tuscaloosa. So, my first game? Probably at 0 years old and ever since I can remember.
