Moving the goalposts? All summer we've told you that Chavis puts up good stats. His defenses always look amazing on paper. You've pointed to these stats, just like now, and said "see!! rankings!!" while we LSU fans have had to look no further than the scoreboard as the clock hits zero. You have played two directional schools and a PAC12 bottom feeder, things no LSU fan ever claimed Chavis struggles with. When the chips are down and you need a stop against a good team, it won't be there. It will get lost on the stat sheet, but not in the win column. We can't move the goal posts when you haven't even hit the first ones yet.
But while we're on the subject of moving goal posts, let's talk about Kevin Steele. Your fanbase collectively mocked him all summer, proclaiming he would be run out of BR. Two division wins later and this defense is fricking filthy. So, upgrade?

The defense got the stop, and won the game. The entire point of my post was that we as LSU fans were getting really tired of reading about statistical moral victories and wanted more real ones.

Here's an actual serious answer... Those two defensive ends are unreal And daylon mack up the middle is also gaining in the horror genre. And you are MUCH better under Chavis though you'll be even better next year. I don't see a very good use of the talent at receiver or RB. And I don't think the back 7 on defense are as strong as Ole Miss or LSU. But Aggie, I am always pulling for you except for LSU week. Anyone that can bring down the utpricks is AOK with me. Is that the greatest football septic tank in history? From the richest program on earth??? I LOVE THE AGGIES. But you will not stop this Fournette guy and the real secret is that Guice isn't any real drop off from Fournette... And our offensive line is the meanest biggest bunch of savages you will ever see. Technically.
We had a couple of shutouts against cupcakes that helped. When it came to SEC play LSU finished something like 9th. They broke this down a few weeks ago on one of the ESPN radio shows. Aggy hasn't played anyone yet. You'd think Kenny Trill would have taught them a few things.

When I see a stat missing I usually assume that the fan of team in question forgot to list it or it may shine light on some stats by other teams? Im sure OP just forgot and omitted it.
