We'll try if you promise to keep losing games.

Better hope not. Without LSU there would be nothing for anyone to talk about here.

State funding is 20% of the LSU system (excluding hospitals) total annual budget.

HOWEVER

It is more than 40% of the Unrestricted budget.

I imagine that losing some 32% of your annual unrestricted budget would frick the school up.

Reading those threads was painful. LSU fans have to be the most confident & least informed when it comes to recruiting.

No wonder they have financial issues - the pay people like Kevin Steal 1.1 million per year.

And you pay Kevin Somewin over 4 million and think we're the idiots?

Why not? It'll be about as relevant as the last one you chose.

Louisiana State University at Tulane is the only fix here.

Tulane was once a public university, which turned private.

LSU couldn't do the same, but just a thought.

The amount of money wasted in universities is stunning. They could cut the number of associates deans by half, consolidate the 5 secretaries every department has to 1 or 2 positions, have faculty teach one more class, and easily make up the 8%. Or just do what Bama does and take more than half of your students from out of state (extra tuition). There is no reason for King to be talking about bankruptcy. If we only had the Wal-Mart money the piggies do....
