The president killed the deal at $45M? I thought LSU boosters had the scratch? Them being in financial disarray is the only logical conclusion of why Jimbo is not in BR. I feel your pain tiger fans

Not broke.

Everything LSU does is caught up in LA politics.

Lsu school system as a whole is broke. Lsu Athletics loaded.

Lsu president didn't like the "optics" of spending millions to get a new coach when school system is broke. Lsu president admitted he thinks Louisiana residents are too stupid to know that the buyout would be from private citizens. Lsu president is an ignoramus.

School system has been gang raped by LA politicians. TAF at LSU is swimming in 100's. President of LSU nixed the deal because he is a dirt bag POS that can DIAFF.

A lot of people don't know this, but Tulane was actually founded as the University of Louisiana, and it was public like your other University of X State schools. However, in the 19th century, they finally got fed up with all the sleaze and bullshite that comes with being associated with Louisiana state politics and went private to become Tulane University.

LSU was not able to be so lucky, and now we have to deal with all the flaming bullshite that is Louisiana politics.

That's all true about Tulane by the way. Look it up.

He is right though. Also, LSU would be crucified by outsiders if that deal happened.

Exactly. I mean, what have Louisiana voters ever done to prove they aren't stupid? It is the most corrupt state in the US:

The president was 100% correct.

It was founded as a medical school, then became UofL.

But it is still very interesting. The reason LSU became the dominant school in la.

Bogus poll....Illinois needs to be higher...Chicago alone could be the most corrupt state.

That really doesn't fit. Its more like:

"You can't expect change begging on a street corner when everyone knows your brother is the richest guy in town, even if he won't give you squat."
