This is wrong too. MsState has the Grant presidential letters and now the largest private collection of Abraham Lincoln letters and historical items.

Who cares about the "flagship" when their ship sunk many years ago. that place is a dumpster fire.

Screw Ole Miss.

Thanks.

I heard a funny today "If I had a hundred dollars for every time Yancy Porter has been wrong I'd be able to pay Tunsil's electric bill for 70 years."

Do you reb fans believe in Yancy Porter? He makes a lot of statements on twitter. Just curious how much credibility you give him.

No, it'll still be sarcastic. The state of Ole Miss football program is always something I can make fun of, at peaks and in valleys. Like, if I had to take the claims of superiority seriously from every Rankin county fan of a football team that finished sub-.500 last year, this site would be far more unreadable than it frequently already is, and sports are supposed to be fun

Largest collection of Confederacy letters in the country?

Sounds right.

But you do realize the things Yancy has said. The latest with a response by Steve saying something like "Don't try so hard, you are now in my book."

Steve is one smart cookie whether Ole Miss fans like him or not. Steve is confident for one reason, the facts and paperwork is on his side.

You don't write a book claiming facts if you cannot back it up. Steve has even joked about "come at me" because he has evidence.

The only thing Ole Miss message boards and twitter have to offer is the fact he came public back when about being young and substance abuse. He did so in hopes of sharing his story to save lives.

He now has a mission in hopes to educate people. He's been clean 25 years and you guys go overboard making up shite.

How sad is it law enforcement had to be called in on death threats to his family. Even his children have to endure the crap. The guy broke a story nobody else would because the media in state refused to cover it.

Ole Miss tried to cover for all the boosters by refusing to name them- something no one else in the state has done. He was forced to use open records act to obtain some and not all have been exposed. Did you see how many Ole Miss boosters were involved? That is out of control shite if you ask me.

Didn't State surpass Ole Miss with 10 regular season wins in 2014? Not sure Ole Miss has ever had 10 regular season wins, and if they did it was in the early 60s. Ole Miss is the more attractive college IMO but State has been the better program recently.

Why do y'all Dawgs assume we take credence in the opinion of Yancy Porter? Dude has been accurate on jack shite for damn near two years. Half the time I assume he's posting shite just to send State in a tizzy, much like Steve does to the Rebs.

And plenty of people publish ebook-quality stuff riddled with errors. If Steve was halfway serious about the book, he'd at least have let someone else design the cover, maybe someone with a concept of graphic design. The book is another way for him to get a quick buck out of his unwavering faithful.

And Ole Miss fans go overboard making up shite? How many Rebel players have somehow simultaneously had a harem of coeds, a raging drug problem, and a steady stream of bagmen cashflow, among other sordid hobbies, according to rival "reporters"? Steve's certainly dedicated to his mission of getting State fans to pay him to "expose" and "take down" Ole Miss, but the dude's not going to win a Pulitzer for overzealous fanblogging. Keep bringing up Yancy, but there's no real analogue for Steve in the Rebel camp because there's no one mission Rebels can fixate on like State can fixate on Ole Miss' downfall, and I doubt anyone follows whatever's getting spewed on the Spirit as closely as any of Steve's acolytes wait on him with bated breath.

And it's wrong for people to threaten his family. By the same token, I don't wish well on a man so fixated on trying to take down my alma mater. It's still not like he's exposing some sort of True Detective level conspiracy though, but grasping at those conspiracy straws will help him sell books to the indoctrinated

Hey dude, I have only this to say. You guys are going down hard. And hard means really bad. As far as Yancy goes, in my opinion he is a clown serving the idiot OM fans who believe in him. He counts on you guys to keep coming back for more letdowns?

Hey dude, I have only this to say. You are the definition of confirmation bias. And confirmation bias means you will believe literally anything and everything related to what you've already accepted as true. As far as Yancy goes, in my opinion he is a clown. He rides the coattails of guys Spirit subscribers actually pay to read. He counts on us to keep believing his coworkers are competent enough for a menial yearly subscription.

One of you admit it finally. Why don't you rid Yancy and be done with him?

Where'd you get this notion that Rebels hold Yancy in particularly high esteem? He's a recruiting reporter with a notorious homer lean and not much else. No one elevates him to saintdom like some State fans do Steve
