So does MSU consider themselves the flagship school in Mississippi now?

Since ole Miss has proven to be a total dumpster fire, what does MSU have to accomplish to take over the state of Mississippi?
Or is it theirs by default now?

We have always considered ourselves the #1 Cow College in the greater SEC area.
Here is a secret. We have a flag at MSU, but no ship to hang it on.
We do have cows, a Boll Weevil lab, a depart of enology, row crop research, a catfish science department, chicken research, and excellent cheese and ice cream. When I was there we had a nuclear reactor, but it may be gone now. It glowed cherenkov blue at night.

Why does anyone think to begin with that Ole Miss was ever the flagship? The whole reason they got caught cheating in multiple sports is because they are tired of hearing the following:
Ole Miss has never sniffed a final-4 in mens basketball.
Ole Miss has never been to Atlanta.
Ole Miss baseball has never accomplished 1/5th of what Msu has.
And now they had to deal with Msu womens basketball play for a natty. Their PR must be the best in the business to convince so many that they are the "flagship" in the state.

I completely agree with you. I, for one, have considered Miss. State the premier University in the state for a while.
Some, though, consider ole Miss as the flagship.
