So do we have any other decent candidates?

I fear anyone hood will not want to tether their career to such a young inexperienced head coach. We already had to promote LB coach to DC.

We are going to be young and inexperienced coaching wise going against some of the most seasoned and experienced coaches in college football. Saban, Freeze, Pittman with Briles, Brian Kelly, Kiffin, Jimbo now with Petrino.

This is going to be a disaster and we are going to lose a lot of players to the portal before next season. I really don’t see this ending well. I’m just giving my honest opinion. I hope I’m wrong but I’m not optimistic

This is correct.

Arnett is NFL, not the pros but not for long. Disaster in the making. Fire everybody , burn it all down, cuz he’s real smart and knows better based on his one year as a coordinator at SDSU. What a moron.

He should write a book, how to tank a nine win program in record speed.

Jimbo has to be rejoicing he gets to play Arnett next year, there’s one guaranteed win.

Chris Hatcher is a decent candidate but I'm not really too high on that idea once Will Rogers is gone. He's a Mumme Air Raid guy. Does run the ball a lot more though.

I think promoting Brock to DC was a smart move. He can always get inputs from Arnett if he needs to. He called the plays in the bowl game.

I see a mass exodus coming from that receiver room.

I think Vanderbilt leap frogs MSU in 2024.

Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to tear down everything a hall of fame coach built overnight ?

If Arnett wanted to stay in the Air Raid lineage (and I'm not convinced he does) a name that could surface is Tony Franklin. He and Mike both worked under Mumme and then kind of split in different directions. Mike's version became the "Air Raid" while Tony's became "The System". Basics are the same but Tony changed the terminology and packaged it. Made a ton of money off of it too. He's getting older and may be thinking retirement... but who knows... Currently OC at Army but he's 65 so may not be the guy. Has done pretty well everywhere except Auburn... and Tubby really didn't give him what he needed to do well there.

Ummm….he clearly did that. We shall see where he is able to take the program, but yeah, he did turn us around.

Who in their right mind leaves Fayetteville, AR for the slums of Starkville? Really can't say it's a better program. Facilities: Arkansas Tradition: Wash at best... I'd still say Arkansas Local talent: MS St. Head to head: Hog's lead 18-14-1 Living conditions: Arkansas Local Education Options: Arkansas So what exactly was your rationale?

They’re pretty equal in my opinion. State has had a far better decade than Arkansas. Played in a major bowl more recently, consistent winning seasons, usually pretty similar recruiting classes so don’t really know what your point would be Arkansas being such a better destination.

Looks like some crazy people are running the football program at MSU.

Fully expect them to return to forty carries a game.

They are now claiming Leach was a failure and didn’t know what he was doing.

Pick your win total for MSU next year, I’ve got four as the under over
