Bama fans make excuses and rarely give commendation. Just look at last November.

Um, I was lurking Saturday night and there were plenty of Bama fans crediting LSU for a hard fought game and a surprisingly impressive offensive performance.

Not gonna argue with last year but that's so last year, brah. Two nights ago, many of the Bama fans were pretty congratulatory and gracious in defeat.

Today, maybe not as much but maybe they're just getting a little sick of the moral victory tickertape parade.

the game proved a few things. Bama hasnt played anyone worth a damn until this game. So all the talk about being way the best is false. We ate that vaunted defense up. 3rd down conversions we were right around 50% bama was maybe 10%. Bama had 2 decent drives. AJ lost any chances of a Heisman because he played a real team for first time this year. We have played 4 top 12 teams, 3 top 7 teams. AJ was 1-7 for 0 yards in 2nd half before the last drive.. I could go on and on but most Bama fans after the game knew they were not the better team and were the fortune on some bad coaching calls. I believe if we played 10 times it mayb be 6-4 LSU or 7-3 LSU. Bama secondary is crap. Made Mettenberg look like a hero

In recapping, it took Bama's defense to bring Mettenberger out of his funk.

Well, that's different of course. And I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you why without the slightest sense of hypocrisy. They're Gumps.

LSU was flawless on offense in the second half and Mettenberger played a great game. Had AJ performed that well we beat LSU by three TD or more. Give that kid his credit, he was great last Saturday.

And if our D doesn't go into that soft bullshite before half and at the end y'all don't score 2 TDs.

Actually, you are wrong on this one. I'm not saying he'll win, or that he deserves to win at this point, but most everything I've seen/read in the last two days has been positive regarding his game-winning drive. It seems to have made his stock go up. Most people who have a vote in the Heisman poll know that any player can have a bad day that knocks them out of the race. The fact that AJ was able to overcome this when it mattered most, in a place like Death Valley on a Saturday night, against a team like LSU, when they couldn't have won any other way, is what makes it so impressive. It's kind of like the Mark Ingram wild-cat drive 2 years ago, when we would have lost the game as McElroy just couldn't get it done. Ingram takes the ball the whole length of the field, all by himself, with the entire defense knowing what is coming, and he couldn't be stopped. Those moments mean a lot to Heisman voters.

labamafan, the reason AJ didnt perform that well is because he played a top defense for the first time this year. You have always been the Bama forum fan idiot. It is almost like you dont watch the games or just dont know the game

He is not even being mentioned as a serious Heisman candidate. He played a top defense for the first time this year and had his worst stats. He was however helped out by a prevent defense at the end. Did you see the same game? He was freaked out. No one was open, he panicked alot, overthrew balls etc. He benefitted from a weak arse schedule

With all due respect, this is not what is being said about AJ in reference to the Heisman. Perhaps you have not been listening to the collective reaction to Bama's win in the media because it pains you?

1 for 9 on third down conversions. Not only stopped, LSU D shut him down the entire second half. Let one drive get away from them. Credit the playcalling more than A.J. He threw a screen for a TD. Come on, Heisman? Not even the best QB on the field Sat night.

Flawless? Close but not quite.

We ran 3 straight running plays that killed the drive that could have sealed the deal. If we finish that drive, game over.

Credit Bama for stopping us multiple times as we got into field goal range. Their D bent but did not break just enough to give their offense the chance they needed at the end.

Our offense has struggled all season long to close the deal in the red zone. This game was marked improvement between the 20s but we still have work to do in the red zone.

He wasnt even the best QB on the field. What defenses has he played against? Mett played vs Fla, SC, Bama, and Aggies. AJ played against LSU and ?????. And look at his stats. Awful. 1 ro 9 on 3rd downs. He was pitiful except for when we went into the prevent. The prevent makes alot of QBs rack up stats. Maybe you didnt see the same game. Or maybe you think your schedule has been tough. You are one of the few. Even Bama fans after the game knew they were lucky and they were not the best team that night

19 TD passes
0 INTs
1 rushing TD
just had a Heisman moment in baton rouge
almost died on an early model jetski when he was 5

AJ maccarron WILL be in new york for the Heisman. He probably won't win it, but he will place 3rd or 4th.
