That's different than saying "you won for 58 minutes." I've also read that "you lost it on one play." That one came straight from an LSU player. The truth is, Bama scored 3 touchdowns. LSU scored 2 and half. It took more than just 2 minutes for us to score those 3 touchdowns, and it took more than 1 botched play for LSU to lose that game.

I think LSU should be proud of their team, and the effort given. If you guys were winning 3-0 in the final 2 minutes, and then we scored a quick TD to win, then this whole 58-minute argument might make sense. As it is, it just seems like a new way to say "moral victory".

Regardless of the score, Bama was on wobbly legs for 58 minutes, only to score the KO punch in the 12th and final round.

But... all that matters is that "W". Just win baby

And that's exactly why our a-hole head coach needed to go for the KO with a little over 2 minutes left instead of running up the middle on 3rd and 10 and trying a fricking 54yd field goal. Bama's D was done and one more first down and it was ball game. Should have jumped on Mett's hot hand.

are you going to keep claiming this or do you actually plan on providing proof of where this keeps getting said.

When your team wins, you just relax and let others be silly... you only show insecurity and weakness when you feel the need to SHOW your desire to defend what happened.

Been waiting for this to finally be stated. AJ led a drive in what less than a minute with no time outs. Mett gets his chance with more time on the clock than AJ had and shits himself over a three man rush with a soft coverage. The same type of soft coverage that LSU has been blaming their loss on for two days now. And while I'm at it someone needs to tell LSU's freshman RB that a first down stops the clock. Dont run 60 yards parallel to the first down trying to get out of bounds wasting more time, not making it to the sideline. Les shouldnt have burned those much needed timeouts early in the second half.

I don't give a frick how you try to put a bow on it brah, 80+ plays to 50+ plays and just about doubling you up on TOP is domination. HOWEVER, if you can't put it in or keep it out of the end zone stats don't mean shite.

Bama had zero timeouts available during their entire final drive.

Which championships do we claim that we shouldn't? 1964? We lost our bowl game but we still won the awards. 1973? We lost the bowl but still won an award.

Pre-AP titles? Fair enough....but please tell schools like Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, etc. to drop their claims to titles pre-AP. Hell...USC just started claiming 1939 as a national championship year eight years ago.

It doesnt matter what the number is. All that matters is that it's ALOT and it's MORE than anyone else.

OP, LSU pretty much displayed a blueprint of how to beat Bama by slowly grinding us down and asserting their will. Not saying we got "lucky" at the very end, but we were very fortunate to pull out the win.

We all know how quickly Alabama players and fans are to give the winning team credit for their win when Alabama loses.

I'm not so sure about this. Every team will grind down if their defense stays on the field, so that's not a blueprint IMO. Our issues where on the offensive side. AJ was just a little flat during the game. Also, like others have suggested, I still for the life of me can't figure out why we weren't running the ball more on 1 and 2nd down. LSU wasn't stopping our rush attack, so if we could have gotten those 4, 5 and 6 yard rushes on 1st and 2nd down, then it would have softened the pass coverage also, allowing AJ the opportunity to settle in early in the game. Even if it hadn't have resulted in more scoring on our side, it quickly would have fixed the statistics portion of the game which is very lopsided. We would have had possession more, LSU less. We would have run more plays, LSU less. We would have had more offense, LSU less, etc.

Moreover, it would have put more pressure on Mett to feel as if he had to step it up, and that might not have gone so well for him since he clearly fell apart in the last minute of the game.

Kinda like Bama last year. We won but the Bama players/fans/media were all, "LSU didn't win, Bama lost the game, blah blah". Now you know how we felt last year. And imagine...just imagine...that this loss didn't count and while LSU sits at home Bama has to play in the SEC championship and risk injury/loss just to play us again for the NCG.

Why whine? Both LSU & Bama played a great game, it was entertaining, both teams gave it their all and in the end, Bama did what it took to win. Just like LSU did last year.

Win or lose...

Bama fans make excuses and rarely give commendation. Just look at last November.
