He is a BEAST - he runs a 4.3 and is fast as lightening. He is way above average and everyone in the country knows it. LSU has a superstar on their hands. There is ZERO excuse for Les to not go undefeated and win another National Championship. The talent is there - the coaching is there - the fan support - the facilities - the playes are motivated to win. NO excuses for LSU to lose a single game all season.

That means 3 to 4 dlinemen with 4 to 3 LBs playing the gaps. That means not having to commit safeties which exposes the pass defense.

I'll take LF with a head of steam 1 on 1 against a linebacker all day long.

actually we still have that certain group of LSU fans that will never like Les, and still have pictures of Nicky on their bedroom walls. They worship the guy, would blow him if given the opportunity. It's sickening.

I think Saban is a very good coach. It certainly doesn't hurt that he has the top talent to play with every year, but that's based off of the reputation of both bama and Saban.....there are a lot of good coaches that given the talent he has, could do very well. I'm actually one of the ones that thinks Les Miles, his boring offense and all, is one of the best coaches in the nation. You don't do it 11 years in the SEC with >80% win rate and be a Mediocre coach.

Well, the point of Bama's run stuffers on the dline is to prevent the head of steam part.

That's what getting your arse whipped 2 out of 3 times for about a 100 years will do to you.

the thing that has separated LF from the rest his his explosion through the hole, then the ability to make the lb's miss.....then he generally punishes a db just for being in the way.

Bama fans are just as bad about certain things.

It happens to just about every online fan base when they are good. It causes the fans who think that they can beat an NFL team to come out.

The point of our run blockers is to prevent that from happening, and if you're going to give them a numbers advantage I like their chances.

Oh yeah, he's gotta be stopped at the line.

Fortunately, our oline is incredible.

Fournette vs. Ragland is going to be fun to watch.

They do think they can sell out to stop the run and Harris can't beat them with his arm, which is where they are wrong.

This is much closer to being accurate than the OP. And it's not that Harris can't. But for LSU to win, he must have a big game. He will have to beat us with his arm, imo.

absolutely owned us prior to 2000...since the turn of the century....I don't have the exact figures, but I'd say LSU has a lead in the series...in fact it might be substantial.

The last few years have been tough from 2012 through 2014. 2012 was a heartbreak as LSU outplayed bama...but lost.....2013 bama was the better team...as were a lot of teams out there. 2014, as bad a start as LSU had to the season.....LSU once again outplayed bama yet come up short on the scoreboard....been a tough couple years for sure. But almost every single year...this has turned into a war....no matter what. BTW, most on this site only really know about the last 10-15 years...but history is nice to know as well.

250 yards of total offense and 2 TDs is what Harris needs to produce. If he does that LSU will be in good position to win the game.

If I was LSU I would come out throwing to put them on their heels to some degree then let Fournette loose

Two good units going against each other on that side of the ball. As usual, which ever team wins the line of scrimmage will win the game. Same as it ever was.

Ragland's arse! They're gonna stick #10 in the middle and LF7 probable won't accept the handoff.

All kidding aside, LF will get his 150 against Bama. He's too good, and he is too important for your offense, for it not to happen. The deciding factor in the game will be how many rushes it takes him to get there. If he hits 150 after 25 carries or so, y'all win. If it takes him 40 or more to get there, we probably win. Anything in between is a toss-up.

I think that if he hits 150-180 and one of those is an 80 yard run, we'll be OK. If that represents a long night of 8-10 yard rips... different story.

4Net is an extremely good and fast back. Fortunately, I think Bama matches up well against LSU. It should be a great game no matter what happens between now and then.

speed wise? There was a thread on your board where many posters were saying that he is probably in the 4.5 range......

Is 4.5 speed average now?

I didn't see the thread on our board that said he was a 4.5 guy. I think he's a sub 4.5 guy. Sub 4.4? I don't know, I hope so, he's one of my favorite players and I want him to go down as an all time great, more speed helps. I know he was reported as having sub 4.4 speed coming out, but a lot of guys are and don't really run it.

I don't know what his 40 time is. I think it is sub 4.5 at the absolute least.
