More likely they do not know who is in the cheap seats, and a mixed crowd at a SEC game fueled by alcohol is a ticking time bomb IMHO. Our fan bases do not always play well together.

For example there would be blood flowing down the aisles at Bryant Denny if there were 80,000 drunk gumps and the tide fell behind, they kill their own family members over games for goodness sake. This scares the legal departments to death, wink wink no alcohol lets the schools off the hook for the liability.

If being able to buy a drink for 1/2 the game is that important to you go buy a premium ticket.
