I could see that happening at top 10 schools yet then again a school like Vandy the game would be flying under the radar.

He could have been the guy sending in the play and sends in a different play from time to time knowing it will fail.

How exactly is a Vandy backup QB going to fix a game?
Maybe it was the Polish mafia.

Yeah I don't get this one either.

He'd have to be Dac Prescott playing at a Miss State-like team before he could begin to affect anything on the field.

I call bullshite on this one.

Paying a Vandy player to lose games seems redundant.

Now if they gave them 300k to win games, they might be on to something.

They paid $2.1 Million to Derek Mason to win games at Vanderbilt (at least I think that's what his severance payout was).

If true, I hope he is paid up on his life insurance policy. The money will help dull his family’s pain as they mourn his tragic death.

Is this why Vandy canceled on UGA TWICE in 2020 and denied the players their Senior Day that season?

Pfffffft. I read the Rant. Everyone knows you pay off the REC to fix games.

Which is why the story is being ignored but point shaving would still be a thing even for teams like Vandy. Hell, especially for them because there's not going to be a ton of scrutiny on them.

As for who they approached.... well that might've just been a thing of opportunity. And him saying get your teammates to do x and you and they will get y.

Not saying any of it's true but it is possible.

It's more than possible he was simply approached for being on the team not for his personal performance. He could be your in to run what you want done by his teammates.

In the past when sports fixing cases have happened they've usually involved multiple members of a team but I'm sure if you researched it, you'd probably find that one guy was approached and brought it to the others.

It’s obvious that the “I”talian mobs have been fixing aggy games since 1940.

Looking at vandy's success rate, switching plays could have actually led to a better results for vandy.

How does he know they're "Italian"? I know some Albanians who run a knockout Italian restaurant, and they don't share that information with their general customer base.

Maybe this backup signals in plays? I don't know, but I don't see a Vandy point spread being worth a guaranteed $300K to a college kid. The offer could have been $40K and a college kid would think it's the offer of a lifetime.

the fact that he's repeating hearsay from ***some guy in a bar*** about "Alabama" means this kid is an idiot. And whoever these podcasters are, they're idiots for airing that ridiculous shite

There is nothing left of the mob. Maybe he was approached by some random guido or maybe he is just looking for attention. I don't believe this at all. And $300,000? Please.
