Erroneous. He said they had the potential to be "as good as any there is", and that they were his best unit to date. So he was wrong, why are you trying to spin that?

This is why I don't believe anything our shitbag coach says.

He wouldnt get 6.1 a carry if he carried it more than 2 or 3 times a game.

Really? How do you know that? He was a consistent runner and he can take it all the way on any given play...something this offense has been lacking big time.

Sheppard could and should play multiple positions, anything that could improve the ability for LSU to get the ball in his hands. Much like Coach Stallings did with David Palmer in the ealry 90's, he returned punts, lined up at RB/WR/QB. He single handedly won games at each of those positions. Why would Miles limit a talent like Shepard?

I dont know that for sure obviously, but its just logical that if they start consistently letting him run the ball, then it takes away from the surprise factor and threfore he would probably get hurt given his size. No knock on him, I just think he would be better maybe carrying the ball 2-4 times a game on a reverse or wildcat, etc., and being a reciever.

This is my point excatly. I just think playing him only at WR is a waste of talent. Just let him run.

That is when you have him fake a run, but pass to a wide open Randle or Tolliver. Am I the only one who thought of this? God I hate Crowton

Of course you do, you're a Bama fan. Shepard is our fastest player on offese, you would want him limited in any way possible. But if you watched LSU last year, not just one game, Shepard was the best runner and picked up some good yards when running from the QB position.

I just feel like he is not near physical enough or big enough to carry the ball more than 5 times a game. I know you guys want him to be everything he was supposed to be, but sometimes thats just the way it goes.

But seriously, even with bad QB play and last year's under achieving line, we still took Bama to OT and had them by the balls on an "interception"..

So, your moral victory of '08 is more meaningful than our moral victory of '07?

Okay...

I just love how you gumps think because you won a couple of games in the latter part of last decade, that your coach is unbeatable and your team has been blowing ours out.
your posts wreak of arrogance

Being a LSU fan, bradley, you should know that you only have to win.

See '07.

How do you know a defense would not prepared for that? I am pretty sure ours would.

Has nothing to do with me being a bama fan, im being totally objectie here. Yeah, he picked up yards mostly because of the surprise factor. When he got hit though, he was like a ragdoll, demolished.

If he can average 6.1 yards per carry, the defense will start playing the run.If not, we'll keep running him....wait, we bench him.

Surprise factor? We ran one play with him. Qb snap - run the ball. That was pretty much it. No surprise there. He didn't throw one pass all year. So when he lined up at QB, take a wild guess what was going to happen?

ETA: We ran 2 or 3 plays with him at RB all year, one was a 70 yard TD run.

When I was saying that years ago I caught flak for it but Tiger Nation as a whole is ready for some I-form off tackle now.

no we aren't... we want to see some fricking talent development on the lines, THEN we'll talk about power running

the reason this team passed so much last year:
1) terrible run blocking
2) very physically gifted WRs (not too often a university has three receivers as talented as Toliver/LaFell/Randle, all of which were 6'3" or bigger)

Ill believe it in September. For 2 seasons now ive heard Miles physco babble bs about how this team has a want, or this is the best Oline ever, or this is a team filled with agressive play. BLAH BLAH BLAH. He keeps trying to talk the talk and failing miserably at walking the walk.
