Cam wanted Auburn out of High School
Borges (I believe) had both Newton and Kodi Burns at a camp..they liked what they saw in Burns better and offered him the scholarship, though Newton wanted AU
FML....newton for 3 or 4 years..oh well
then again, it was meant to be that he did some "growing up" first...who knows how he would've turned out skill wise and attitude wise had the events that shaped his last 3 years not happened
anyways, apologies for derailing a thread with some facts and sensibilities

Actually, the guy who did the article was on Finebaum yesterday (happened to turn it on at the exact same time. pure luck) and said that Danielson was probably wrong about that, Newton grew up a Florida fan, etc. Not sure where Danielson got that from anyway, whether it was Newton's words or someone else. Figured I'd chime in before one of the haters.
