The only thing is the H2H? Look at what I posted above. There's more that separate than that!

Also, what was Texas's RPI, SOS, Overall record, record vs. the top 25, and stretch finish like compared to A&M that year?!

A&M RPI was 9, SOS - 13. 12-3 in last 15 games

Texas RPI 11, SOS - 31. 10-5 in last 15 games.

overall record is negligible.

i would hate to have to decide between LSU/OM but the resumes are close enough for the H2H to be the deciding factor.

The opossum alone ensures a national seed.

Texas reputation got them in that one then. Which like I said previously is unfair but that's how it goes.

LSU's rep could very well put them into this one.

I think it is a toss up and will not be surprised. I'll be happy if LSU gets it and the homer in me thinks we deserve it, but I won't disagree if the committee goes in a different direction.

It kills me too because we are one game better than you guys overall record wise ... 1 win more.. 1 loss less... Because we met on the field of the play, the last month of the regular season and OM took 2/3.

All of those things are virtually the same. you have a better conference record(by one game) and mainly because you played weaker eastern division schedule and the easiest road schedule. I don't see how you look at the resumes and say LSUs is better. You can say they are the same. Wouldn't head to head and overall RPI be the rational tie breaker? I won't be upset if LSU gets it. Their resume is as good as ours. But I would be disappointed if the 'hot finish' is be reason why when we were just as hot down the stretch.

Something OM has going in its favor is the committee put a bunch of stock in RPI ... That's very obvious.

Won't matter if we don't get it. Just line is up with Miami. We owe them one.

Just make OM/LSU the #8 and match us up on the opposite side of the bracket... If we both win our Regionals we'll play to see who goes to Omaha and who goes home.

Probably not. We are one of the hottest teams right now but that doesn't necessarily merit a national seed.

I'm not saying ole miss deserves it over lsu. but show where my statement is untrue. ole miss has better rpi, better record against top 100, fewer bad losses. lsu has slightly stronger sos, 1 more conference win...where is the advantage for lsu?

You're right. It is very very close.

Even in their series wins its the same. Then you look at the signature series wins. Ole miss has 2 big ones over UL & LSU while LSU has ones over Vandy & UF.

I originally thought LSU, but really with the h2h and slightly higher RPI my worthless opinion changes to ole miss.

seriously? lsu had a better conference record and were better down the stretch which is often times very important. you seriously didnt know lsu had a better conference record than ole miss?

I clearly stated that lsu has ONE MORE CONFERENCE WIN than the rebels. I will ask you again, respectfully, where is the advantage for lsu?
