Upvote yes down vote no

Personally I say no based off total body of work, but I don't think it matters because we will get a home super regional regardless. The other teams outside the sec are garbage and will frick up.

Only if ole miss is as well honestly. I think both are more than deserving but ole miss won the series

We have a top 7 RPI, top 6 SOS, winning record vs. the top 25, ranked in the top 7 in every national poll, won 15 of our last 17 games, etc. What makes us not worthy?!

And stop with the head to head BS. That absolutely is not taken into consideration at all.

Yes, they should. But I have my doubts that they will because they didn't win the tourney.

Wow it's not very often you read a thread where LSU fans disagrees with their own team being a National seed and all other sec fans think LSU should be a national seed :lol. I think we should get the 8th seed at least.

I'm thinking Clemson will get the national seed Ole Miss earned.

Your being worthy or not isn't the issue. Are you more worthy than Ole Miss and USC? All three have top 8 resumes

Idk how long y'all have been following college baseball but I have been following and involved for quite a while. What holds the most weight with the committee? RPI, SOS, Conference wins, overall record, record vs. top 25, and how you finished down the home stretch of your schedule. So those 6 things hold the most weight with the committee. RPI-Ole Miss, SOS- LSU, Conference wins-LSU, overall record- Ole Miss (by 1 game), record vs. the top 25- LSU, stretch finish- LSU... 4 of the 6 go LSU.

in 2011 A&M and Texas were co champions and A&M won the big 12 tourney. Texas won the regular season series. Guess which team was a national seed?

Pretty much the only thing separating OM/LSU is the H2H so i tend to lean towards OM getting the final SEC national seed.

The only thing is the H2H? Look at what I posted above. There's more that separate than that!

Also, what was Texas's RPI, SOS, Overall record, record vs. the top 25, and stretch finish like compared to A&M that year?!

youre leaving a little bit of both resumes out. RPI 51-100 OM is 11-3. LSU is 8-4. LSU has 3 sub 100 RPI losses, OM only has 1. You are right about finishing down the stretch though. it probably cost A&M a national seed last year.

Ole Miss has the higher RPI and won the head to head

LSU won 1 more SEC game and has a stronger SOS

Now watch Ray Tanner campaign for his Gamecocks to get the #8 seed and it happen

And lastly, and I know it's unfair but with LSU being a historical baseball powerhouse and leading the nation in attendance for 26 years straight that will play a role whether anybody wants to admit it or not. Reputation plays a major role
