Definitely. He should fake an altercation so there is a documented incident, then have a relative rat to the NCAA before making up with the family. This way he doesn't look like a pussy but also gets to avoid the possibility of injury, just like Tunsil.

Well, the rules and agreements in place say he can declare early, after the '16 season, so I'd say: NO.

Sure, he's a great talent. But do you, as an NFL GM or coach, want a guy that thinks rules don't apply in his case? Wouldn't the same issue apply when it comes to contract years, too?

This whole concept sounds too much like basketball mentality for my liking. I hate what's become of college basketball, and pray we don't go about destroying football too.

Probably, I mean there is the whole "no NFL back has ever had 400 carries in a year and been the same afterwards" thing-- what's the upside to Fournette putting miles on his body he's never getting back, he's a runner it's not like another year is going to teach him new techniques or let him refine his skills all that much.

This shite is so gay. FFS let's see how the rest of the season goes. Plus Clowney was gonna do that and NFL scouts said "We won't draft you, if you sit out."

It would be a shame but he should stop playing immediately to save himself for the NFL.

So should Reggie Ragland, OJ Howard and all of Bamas other players that will eventually play on the NFL quit the team today?

What about Ole Miss' #5 or That DE at aTm?

Should every player projected to get drafted quit playing college football?

Hell no. Have you ever seen the 30 for 30 about Marcos Dupree? Different circumstances but similar builds. Dupree gained a shite ton of weight and lost his playing speed. LSU should cut his carries, but Miles knows he has something special. I hope he stays healthy, LF7 is a special talent.

Honestly, I have no idea what he should do. Yes, it's risky that he'll be injured - but I think the odds are still, technically, pretty low that a career-destroying injury would occur.

If I were him, I'd play unless the coaching staff does something monstrously stupid.

I love that this kid wears Purple & Gold.

So sorry your defenses can't tackle him. My condolences.

Well, given that he plays for Les Miles, that is a real possibility.

Even if he wanted to, and he just tweeted that he will not, from a purely "legal" perspective he could not. It would take at least a yr for his legal challenge to the system to become law. Look how long it took Claret at Ohio St. to get a ruling & he ended up losing anyway. Most of the talking former jocks are telling him to stay, all of the non jock social workers are telling him he has the legal right.
