That game was against Memphis, which would be an annual opponent for Bama if they went independent. Add SMU, UCF, NC St, GT, La Tech and the rest of the want to be opponents. They could get some good home and home games outside the SEC, but that will wear thin quick.

If they went independent, they could play all sunbelt teams and still get the playoff every year.

It will never happen, but it's a fact that Bama is the only school in the South that could go indie in legit fashion.

No. Why? Bama built the SEC.

Absolutely not. We have set up an organization we run with corrupt staff in the SEC HQ in Bammerham and paid off all the refs. We go independent we loose all that and end up like Memphis

In truth, when Pat Dye announced his intention to begin scheduling AU's home games in the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare, and the SEC backed him up, some Bama boosters encouraged the UA administration to renounce their SEC membership to avoid having the football team set foot on AU's campus.

It was AUs home game they could do whatever they wanted and there were many Bammers, myself included, who loved Pat Dye doing that because we knew it was the end of playing in Bammerham

Do you not remember how much of a dumpster fire Alabama football was just 11 years ago? Nick will retire and your team will probably suck again for another 15 years. Gumps have amnesia..

The OP is moron. Bama is a charter member of the SEC and it's a mutually beneficial relationship.
