Fournette didn't play great against Alabama. Therefore he was just an average player. It's pretty simple.

LSU hired Shea's brother to land his commitment before Ole Miss hired him away to do the same

Yes. But he plays very emotionally, and when things aren't going well he can try too hard and make poor decisions or bad overthrows. Kind of reminds me of a much moee talented Drew Tate or Ricky Stanzi in that regard. But when he's on he's on. Definitely got an NFL arm.

I thought he was hands down the best QB in the conference, but he looked really bad in the Cal game under pressure.

It's not like there's much competition for that status..

I expect him to always have a good game though.

Yes. Statistically, he is the SEC's leading passer and Ole Miss has the SEC's best passing attack. The passing game isn't Ole Miss' problem -- it is every other phase of the game.

If he has time against a mediocre defense, he's a good QB. If a defensive player is within 3 yards of him, he plays like a cripple.

He played like a waterhead against Alabama.

I mean, we are talking about a true freshman.

I'm no fan of Patterson or his family, but this is still a true freshman.

This is true. And Shea's brother also tried to walk out of the LSU athletic building with the LSU playbook.

Shea's problem against Cal would be any qbs problem. The team had 14 offensive penalties and kept themselves in obvious passing downs. He still threw for almost 400 yards. His problem against Alabama was that they blitzed effectively and locked down the hot routes with two future first round corners. He's been dominant, Alabama game withstanding. Probably a top 5 qb nationally, this year.

MagillaGuerilla.

Wrong. He was a non paid assistant at LSU and LSU refused to give him a paid job. Too young and inexperienced. When LSU balked, well you know the rest of the story.

He left because Shea didn't want to go to LSU.

More reality, actually. I'd never say that about Bo Wallace, even though he was outstanding and is currently among the top ten in passing yards in SEC history.

Oh come on. Daddy Patterson made this deal with OM. Don't play self righteous.

Shea knew he was going to be a Rebel before his brother knew he was going to have to see if we had room for him on the staff.

He is not a true freshman. He is a true sophomore.

That's a lie, we never hired him. That's why he left, we were going to give him an internship. A unpaid position.

He played some sporadic good ball last year. I have not watched him this year. Has the firing of the Whore Dispenser affected his play?
