When my dad passed I was numb. Driving I40 to the airport I lost it. Teared up a few times since but that was a full blown cry. Had to pull over. Glad I was alone....

re: What method of voting is least susceptible to being tampered with?
Posted by Topisawtiger on 4/8/24 at 6:20 pm
lot of people can’t vote in person on a specific day. My family has both domestic and international pilots that aren’t home every day. Same with relatives that are surgeons who can’t leave the hospital at all for 36 hours. There’s a lot of people who depend on voting by mail.
I am usually out ...

Ummmmm, let's see. 70's had Zeppelin, Eagles, Skynyrd, Stones, Beatles, America, Crosby Stills & Nash, Aerosmith, Queen. Need I go on? 80's had some really good stuff, especially early on, but come on guys. This ain't even close....
re: Trump eyeing Rubio as VP per NBC
If he is stupid enough to pick Rubio as VP then he will deserve what happens. Trump fricking BLOWS at hiring/appointing the right people.
Rubio would not be my first choice, I'd go with Huckabee-Sanders. With that said, VP would be a good place to put Rubio. His senate would be s...

One of my best friend's son is a long snapper. He went to a camp there a couple of months ago and was ranked #2 in the nation. Coolest kid and only a sophomore. He really hopes to go to LSU. I told him he better be #1 by then. LOL. He and his dad invited me to the camp at LSU in June so I can ...

re: Mid South Wrestling at The Centroplex, Blackham, and LC Civic Center Was a Thing

When I was a kid, around 1970 my dad and his best friend took several of us to "Dixie Wrestling" in Baton Rouge. We saw Grizzly Smith and Luke Brown wrestle some guys with masks on, can't remember the names. Anyway, in an earlier match two guys were fighting and one hit the other and the one that ...

There are 29 DG's in a 30 mile radius of my house, literally. And they are building one of those FD/DT hybrid stores 6 miles from my house. We used to have little country stores out where I live at nearly every road crossing. There is only one left. Sad....
Would you support raising the age SS benefits kick in to 70 and stop allowing any early starts even for reduced benefits?
The government wants you to take SS early. The average of death is around 77 for both sexes but for those that reach 62-65 it is up to around 85-90. SS breake...
And she's already in a red district.
It is my understanding that she was "redistricted out" and her district is now blue, thus why she is moving. I am not a huge fan but she is guaranteed to vote to the right on nearly everything. Bird in the hand vs bird in the bush kind of thin...
re: This MTG / Tucker Interview is friggin’ amazing

I watched it when it first came out. She really is a serious lady. Sadly the media has made her out to be a clown, which she absolutely is not. I wouldn't want her as VP, but she'd be a ballbreaker as Chief of Staff. She tells it like it is....
re: American culture seems constipated right now

I have America as my title on Pandora. All the music from that era plays. I listen to it everyday and the nostalgia pangs hit me hard at times. We were so blessed back then. Even have my youngest daughter (no pics) on board. She tells me "Daddy, yall's music was the best"....

I know it is popular with kids these days but when you say "thank you" to someone and they reply with "no problem". No idea why it irks me, it just does. Wish "you are welcome" would make a return....

I was at a softball tournament a few years after I retired from the military and saw a guy that I thought was my old best friend from the military. I even went up close to the guy and he looked just like him. Even had the same knobby fingers he had. Freaked me out.
Another time I went to churc...

Saw it in IMAX, was blown away by the cinematography. We were on the second row so not the best place to sit, looking up the whole time. Anyway, I wish they could make this into a theatre mini-series. As much as I liked it, they could have "fleshed out" as some of you call it so much in the middl...
