And yet we still won your beloved East (and you can't say it doesn't matter since you made rings).

I am sorry your pen pal relationship with Aaron Hernandez was abruptly suspended.

would a powerhouse like Florida give a coach a fifth year if he didn't win the east at least once?

Prof even said the ONLY reason they kept Butch is because he beat us last year.
Zook won the East in year 2 and we still axed him halfway through year 3.

I'd rather not need rings because we failed than have an SEC crown revoked because we cheated as happened to the Gatahs.

No and that is one of the problems at Tennessee.

I'm really hoping Currie holds the football program to a higher standard

Don't worry. There are still plenty of players from Meyer's Circle of Thugs for you to fawn over.

Are you predicting 12-1 and a spot in the playoffs again like before?

Maybe, the next time your team hires a HC, Jimmy Sexton will provide you with the perfect coach for your situation. Gosh knows he did so well for Tennessee.

He no only gave us Kiffin and then Dooley, but darned if that jovial puppetmaster close friend of Nick Saban didn't act as AD Hamilton's agent at the same time.

Somebody really hated us.

12-1? How would that be even be possible? No. I leave the moronic to Reel_Gatah.

I seldom or never make that kind of prediction.

12-1.

Recently we played a 13 game season and we were undefeated.

The Florida Gators have never had an undefeated season.

Nor has any Gator coach - or any coach - reeled off a skein of victories like Bob Neyland did at Tennessee - 61-2-5.

Tennessee won 700 games before Florida won 600 games.

That is what decades of mediocrity will do to you.

People who said they didnt like the hire initially were more ones that hated that he was a Dooley. Most gave him benefit of the doubt as he was walking into a burning ship trying to keep it afloat.

Personally I think he got a raw deal. Paid less than 2 mil/year, dealt with way worse than Jones, that is making twice as much, and given way more time.

UT fans will turn quick, and will forget reason. Games like LSU, this UF game gave me enough glimpses to think he could be a really good coach if given time. I think he'd at the least have us in the same 8-9 win season range for less money if he were still around. He understood, and respected UTs history and traditions. Also, not some tool bag sales guy like UT has now.

Not sure why you got your rocks off by posting this, but UT fans turned on Dooley just like they are doing on Jones now.

Btw - mix of Bray being a spoiled brat, and loving the "swag" moments instead of game mgmt lost us that UT game. Our depleted D couldn't handle going back out on the field after a 3 and out bray orchestrated after they stopped the fake punt attempt.

Kiffin pulling both Taj Boyds and Bryce Petty's committed offers leaving Dooley with no QBs to start the '10 season with a QB that had been on campus the season before made the Dooley years a disaster.

You said the Vols would go 12-1 and make the CFP. Reality said you were wrong.

Dooley's kiss of death may have been the article in the Chattanooga paper detailing how he completely ignored that part of the state in his recruiting efforts.

Recall also how 5 or 6 of his assistant coaches all resigned the same day.

Fraud. Well coifed fool.
