SCAR .... just one, Abu Lamin. Illustrative of the fact we return so many, that we were so young.

Plus the fact that Spurrier does not believe in rebuilding with JUCOs unless you absolutely have to and unless he believes a player can come-in and contribute immediately.

FWIW, IMHO, there is no way Tennessee is going to benefit, either talent-wise or chemistry-wise, from bringing-in that many JuCo/Prep players in one class.

A big chunk of UK's class along with QB Drew Barker will be early enrollees. And we fricking need it.

If the plan doesn't work to vastly improve the program, this will really hurt them going forward. If you are not a best of the best destination you cannot afford to be perceived as uncaring and disloyal.

I'll assume you've seen UT play in the last couple of years. How, in your mind, will they not improve talent wise after losing the better part of both lines? There are a ton of needs for Tennessee, and Butch is doing a good job of addressing those.

Edit: I doubt many really like the processing thing, but it's dipshits like us on a message board that help drive it. It's a big business and you have to win, and win now. If a highly rated kid comes in and puts out and does his job, I highly doubt he has to worry about getting "processed".

Yes. You almost need two hands to count that high.

kinda wish coach richt would attempt this in order to compete but it won't happen. Pretty soon if you aren't cutting kids you will be the only team not doing it.

Didn't UGA take like 30 kids during the 2013 cycle?

They missed one of Arkansas' EEs (Rafe Peavy) so the list may not be 100% accurate.

Well there's no way these kids should have to sit out a year. I understand they're transfers but it's not like they have a choice whether they can stay or not. They should be given their release with the opportunity to play immediately.

I don't know that they'll have too. Jones has been really good at taking care of players. We had one kid who didn't make it at the end due to grades and we sent him to a DI program that could take him.

We took 34 and still didn't make it to the 85 limit. We had less than 70 scholarship players in the SECCG last year.

We're looking to take 35. Our attrition (not related to normal attrition like going pro) has been outrageous under Dooley. And to make matters worse it's like he didn't bother recruiting players for whole position groups. I can understand how we got into this situation but how did UGA manage to get down on its roster?

Richt has always maintained a strict non-oversigning policy. We never go over the 85 limit unless there are known transfers or early NFL departures coming. That policy usually leaves us a few short (5 or so) to start the season. Self-imposed scholarship restrictions, basically.

Then we lost a cluster of players due to discipline. Nick Marshall, Isaiah Crowell, Sanford Seay, Chris Sander, etc and had a few other unexpected departures.

To put it in perspective, we had less scholarship players last year than USCw did under probation.

Only 3 of those 15 are JUCO guys. 1 more JUCO gets there over the summer.

Hell, I think UGA may have had less than PennSate.

uT has oversigned by a good bit.

Sorry, but I'm afraid you'll have to produce the numbers on paper to be believed. Anybody can say anything they want, but that doesn't make it true. All that's happened so far is we've got 15 - and I think it's really 14 - players coming to school in 10 days. Everything else is pure speculation.
