I keep this in my pocket for moments like this. Some of you have seen it before. Hurts is good at not turning the ball over. His team is dominant. When he is asked to do more this happens.
2016
Florida 11 of 20, 55% completion for 138
Washington 7 of 15, 50% completion for 57 yards
Clemson 13 of 31, 42% completion for 131
2017
Florida State 10 of 18, 55% completion for 96 yards
Vanderbilt 9 of 17, 53% completion for 78
Texas A&M (LOL) 13 of 22, 60% completion for 123 yards

an of those games did he win?

None of them. Bama won most of them with the running game and elite defense. When you only throw for 50-100 yards and the other team shuts down your ability to run then you haven't done much if anything to contribute to the win. The Washington game for example, had we had a capable quarterback we win by 30 points or more. We are winning games with defense and the most elite group of skilled talent in America. You can't justify him as a quarterback based on wins when virtually every quarterback in the SEC would have the same record.

Hurts will never be a great passer. He’ll also never be an NFL QB
Maybe not, but odds are he will be a multiple time SEC champion, SEC Offensive Player of the Year, a national champion, and one of the all-time winningest QBs in CFB history when he finally decides to move on to playing LB or Safety in the NFL.

No, that was last week.
And it's still true.

Only one of those games would be considered "being asked to do more".
Hurts does struggle passing at times, but really, think of how unfair it'd be if Bama had a great throwing QB.

Only SEC player in the top ten, now I agree he is not going to be a nfl qb, but this aint the nfl, it is the SEC and in the SEC he is by far the most effective qb in the entire conference. He dropped from 4 to 9 last week because he didn't run a lot. He has 2 and half more years of making SEC defenses look bad. Hate on him all you want, while your teams lose to him week after week and year after year.

Surprised at how well Bentley has done with our lack of offensive playmakers and injuries.
He has had a bit of a slump this year though. Accuracy wise and holding on to the ball too long. (Which with our line is like 2 seconds)
Folks have been fairly rough to OC Kurt Roper and his play-calling. I agree in particular regarding run plays and personnel choices for such run plays - running Turner up the middle constantly is just stupid, but he's proven that when he can re-direct off-tackle and get a bit of maneuvering room, he can be far more effective - but there have been a LOT of passing plays where receivers ran solid routes and were there for sizable gains, but Bentley either over or under-threw them. That's not scheme, it's execution...
Yet having said that, Bentley is still completing 60% of his passes. It just goes to show how much more effective the passing game could be if Jake just cleans up some sloppy footwork.
Last season through 7 games, USC's OL allowed 24 sacks and 57 TFL, which was horrendous. Thus far this season, the patchwork OL has given up 17 sacks and 38 TFL, so it has improved in those areas.
The run game has digressed despite more depth at RB, at least until last week's game. We only have 5 rushing TDs thus far, compared to rushing for 20 last season. I seriously doubt we get to 20 TDs this season.
Bentley has thrown 12 TDs thus far - that equals the total passing TDs he, McIlwain, and Orth combined to throw for 13 games last season....

Your quarterback couldn’t start at Ole Miss or Mississippi State. He’s a good kid. He contributes as much as he can. He generally doesn’t hurt the team. He probably isn’t even a top five SEC quarterback though.

Every year your team will lose to him and every year you will say he wouldn't start for your team despite having the highest total qbr in conference. Since he won't be drafted and he comes from a coaching family, that means he will likely stay on as an assistant, after he is done kicking your arse. Which means he will be teaching others how to kick your arse for years to come after he graduates. Congrats on that.

There's literally nothing that Fitzgerald does better than Hurts.

I think Fitz can probably take more hits. That’s pretty much a requirement in that offense.
