Hell 2004 Auburn barely scraped by 2004 LSU!

I would like for you to find one team, outside of maybe 95 Nebraska, who has not had a close call at any point in the season.

TIA...

Actually just GFY for being so dumb with that kind of logic.

Other than 2011 Alabama, arguably the best SEC team of the last 20 years, 2011 LSU beat everyone they played by double digits, blew out a whole slew of good teams, and also went 1-1 against that Alabama team.

NO DOUBT

We almost beat them with our lame duck coach in 2004.

well he did vs the Bama defense in 2011 in the 9-6 game

jk he only threw it 10 times

but that 2011 LSU D is better than 2004 AU D

Since we play Auburn earlier in the season, Lee would have been our quarterback :sunglasses:

LSU wins :bb03:

Would have given you a better chance for sure. Les really derped that up.

It's an honorable mention right above ours.

Lee would have gotten eaten alive by Alabama just like he did the first time.

However, Lee should have gotten a look in the Mulligan game for sure. Couldn't hurt with how badly Jefferson was playing. It wouldn't have made a difference, though.

b) We’re also capping the number of program inclusions at five … otherwise, Alabama would have owned at least four more countdown slots.

We are claiming those

A lot of people view all of them as MNC, up until the recent addition of the playoff.

But I bet you some people would still consider these mythical, as all P-5 conference champions aren't included.

I've always said that the two best SEC teams I've seen that failed to win a national championship was 2001 Florida and 2011 LSU. That 2001 Florida team was ridiculous. I believe their average margin of victory against SEC teams was over 30 PPG and it was not like they were beating up on bad teams. They murdered a Saban-coached LSU team that went on to win the SEC by a score of 41-9 or something along those lines. They also destroyed a very good South Carolina team at Williams-Brice who ended up finishing in the top 15 that year.

Those teams were legit. They might be the best teams to never make it to Atlanta, which is pathetic.
