I don't think he'll be a defensive POY, but he did break the freshman sack record. Would be silly not to include him.

8 of his 11.5 sacks came against Rice, Lamar and ULM.

Beat me to it. CNB is right though, Coop will be in the running.

Not a bad list, but Henry hasnt done anything to make me think he will have near the impact the other players will.

Perhaps the most over-rated player in the country. 0 INTs and 4 PBUs. Several beautiful and timely flops, though.

I like that guy as a commentator. I think his pics are pretty accurate as well.

Sometimes it seems he is reading from a script instead of naturally expressing his opinion. The entire SEC Network is managed in that manner.

Just 6.6 YPC so far. But JJ has a good Spring Game to back up his spot on the list.

Im aware. He still did it though, and he has the makings of an elite pass rusher. I'd say he's ONE of the favorites.

There are 12 players coming back next year that had as many or more sacks against actual SEC competition. That is including three freshman that had more than him. He's a good player but he's not one of the top five defensive players in the league at this point.

Now if you want impressive as a freshman then you should look at Derek Barnett. He had 10 sacks last year and all 10 were against SEC teams. Much more impressive than Garrett.

Barnett had more TFLs (6.5 more) and also had more sacks in SEC play than Garrett

Also had 72 tackles(19 more than Garrett)
