so...you're saying, "teams outside of the state of Alabama can't be undefeated AND win the national championship?"

right? right LSU and Florida fans?

1990-1999
Auburn won 46 games from 93-97. That's a 78.8% win percentage. They also finished with a 23rd ranked win percentage. Good for 4th in the SEC behind UF, UT, and 'Bama. Fail.

2000-2009
Auburn was 14th in the country in win percentage and 4th in the SEC (behind UF, LSU, & UGA). Fail.

3 years makes a decade? Okay, I'll bite. Auburn has won a national championship in 33% of this decade. Fail.

Well, a team in Alabama has been undefeated and not won a MNC in the past twenty years, twice, so...

Even after you take out Alabama's wins we lost due to too much textbook readin and shite, Alabama has a higher win % than Arkansas. Adjust your stats.

Oh, and on the vacated win discussion about to ensue.

Meh. I can see what is happening.

3 somewhat pro-Auburn threads on the Rant this afternoon and then this thread conveniently started by an Alabama fan afterwards that conveniently frames the discussion in such a way to make Auburn look bad.

For you guys to be such a 'big brother' you sure do think about us alot.

We won 20 in a row that included a one loss and undefeated season as well as an SEC West title in a third season. That is 3 ten win seasons. Plus 3 more 8 or 9 win seasons that decade. All 6 of those seasons noted included top 20 finishes as well.

Don't forget an appearance on 60 Minutes as well.

It makes your rival MSU look bad too. You have identical records when both of your fluke seasons are taken out.

7. Ole Miss 22-28 (excludes 2009 9-4 team)

The results are sickening. Roll Tide Roll!
Though I imagine some will question your objectivity since you left out 2007. 2007 was Saban's first year. It was not a true, Saban team. Alabama fans aren't merely deleting our head coach's worst year, rather we are considering that it was his first year in the rebuilding process.

10 years favors LSU. Whoop de doo.
The SEC wasn't as strong when LSU became a national powerhouse. LSU only lost 24 games in a 10 year stretch. In 6 seasons, Saban has only lost 13 games on the field, and he has won 63.
If he stays from 2013-2016, is it reasonable to think that he can win 31 or more games? Is it reasonable to think that he will lose less than 11? I predict that Saban's record at Alabama after 10 years will be better than LSU's over the past decade. Keep in mind that 6 of those 13 on the field losses occurred in 2007, which was Saban's first year. That year isn't indicative of the program as a whole.

Seems like Bama is crushing (big surprise) and LSU is also doing great.

Everyone else has been about .500 (outside their best year)

So Alabama's most dominant periods is when their division was at its weakest?

Maybe deep down you know that Bama basically had two NC's gift wrapped for them and didn't really face the same level of competition as their predecessors.

I can sum up the programs pretty simple:
80's were AU and UA primarily. 90's were a mixed bag because of probation. 2000's Bama sucked until Saban - mostly AU / LSU. Last few years (excluding Cam's dominance) have been all LSU / Bama. If history is any indication - Bama will soon be hit with probation after Saban leaves (see..Tressel, Carrol, Kelly, etc) and Bama will return to its rightful doormat status it endured in the first part of this century. LSU has been most consistent last 10yrs without question. Of course, they will run Miles off soon and that will leave AU to fight with A&M. Arky - sorry you fell off your motorcycle and blew it. Miss St - has an albatross of a coach and Ole Miss will lose their coach if turns out to be any good.
