The obvious answer is UGA.

When do they ever show up for top 25 games? Boise Sate anyone?

Do you really think LSU will have a tough time with TCU? I have a hard time believing that myself.

No, but out of all those games, I see those two as being the closest.

Kentucky vs Western Kentucky

Unless Western Kentucky lost a lot of talent from last year, I could see Kentucky losing. Petrino definitely will have them ready to compete.

Our offense won't be the problem, we might score 40+ on them. The issue is going to be if our inexperienced defense (playing on the road in game 1) can limit their offense. It is HUGE for us that they lost a few major playmakers.

Then just run the frickin' ball and keep it out of their hands. Put a decent pass rush on Boyd, while keeping him contained, and you'll win that game going-away.

I predict you will beat Clemson convincingly, while we will win a close one over our old rival UNC in Columbia. The oddsmakers will make y'all a big favorite the following week when we come down there and we'll pound y'all like a $2 Nuremberg Wall hooer dressed in black leather on payday.

You're a fricking moron if you believe that

Oh wait..

SEC! SEC! SEC!
I'd be willing to bet that the SEC has the most wins by teams in the bottom half of the conference over OOC opponents that are in the top half of their conference.

Take last year for instance:

Tennessee (5-7, 1-7) beat NC State (7-6, 4-4)
Mizzou (5-7, 2-6) beat Arizona State (8-5, 5-4) & UCF (10-4, 7-1)
Kentucky (2-10, 0-8) beat Kent St. (11-3, 8-0)
Arkansas (4-8, 2-6) beat Tulsa (11-3, 7-1)

This was actually probably the one of the worst years overall for tSEC because of Aubie and Arky being down so much. I'm not gonna do this for each year but again, since 2006, I'd be willing to bet the SEC has more teams with worse conference records beating OOC teams with better conference records.

Austin Peay? @ Tennessee

Christ. I didn't even know Austin Peay played football. Nugget of knowledge, that's where Matt Damon went to undergrad in The Rainmaker.

And as far as the topic, I'll go with Miss State.

In a thread this week someone asked Bama's record and I said 10-2 with losses to Virginia Tech and LSU so guess I have say Alabama will lose its first game.

But I also have them winning the west and the SEC championship

Clearly we'll lose to Rice because of how bad JFF sucks now and the fact that we have no good defensive players left.

I don't know. Virginia Tech's name is a lot scarier than they actually look. If we lose two, I say we lose Ole Miss and LSU. We always seem to save our biggest losses for home

I agree. But, I am not going to try to act all hard and say I am not worried about A&M. But, Ole Miss does seem like they could bite Bama in the arse, unexpectedly. LSU vs Alabama is always a throw down. I bet Alabama beats Virginia Tech by 4 touchdowns.

What makes you so confident that VT beats Bama? VT was pretty bad last year. I don't see them being much better this year.

I could see aTm & LSU being a tough win. Heck, Ole Miss could possibly be a hard win. But I just don't see VT being much of threat this year.
