SEC should be trendsetter again and go to 4x4 team pods

Let's shake things up again and one up the B1G and PAC 12 who are constantly bitching about us not playing 9 conference games. Let's go to four 4 team pods and do it this way. Expand again and add Clemson and FSU. Carolina and Gator fans will just have to put their big boy panties on and deal with it. If the states of Alabama and Mississippi can support 2 SEC schools, they have no room to complain. Other options could be Oklahoma, NC, NC State, Va Tech, or name your own choice.
West:
LSU
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Missouri
North:
Kentucky
Tennessee
Vandy
Clemson
Central:
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss State
East:
UGA
Florida
FSU
S. Carolina
You play the 3 teams in your pod and one permanent opponent from 1 other pod. You also play 1 rotating opponent from that same pod your permanent is in and 2 rotating teams from the other 2 pods. Total of 9 conference games. That way, you face every team in the conference in a 3 year span. The pod winners face each other in a semi-final game seeded on overall conference record and the winners of the semis face each other for the SEC title. Because of the added game, SEC has to drop back to two out of conference games so the SEC champ still only plays 13 games.

Clemson and FSU won't happen. If anything, we would go for a North Carolina school or a Virginia school.

So everyone else only plays 11 games, yeah that ain't happening.
I think the 16 and pods are coming, but it will be sometime of best record tie-breaker to select champ game teams.
For the other 2 teams , I think it will be some off the wall teams not in a P5 conference, the GOR makes it impossible for other teams currently in P5 to move, barring the conference folding for some reason.

Like the idea of pods but obviously not the schools... Not only would SC and UF bitch and block FSU and Clemson but I'm pretty sure UGA and Tennessee would as well...
When it comes to voting, the East schools tend to vote as a bloc and from my understanding the SEC doesn't make moves unless everybody is unanimously on board..

I've always been against 16 teams, but if we're not gonna play 9 games, then I'm for it. Just drop permanent opponents altogether and play one rotating opponent from every other pod.

The SEC doesn't want expansion. Here's why.
Texas and UNC could end up in the Big 10. So could Notre Dame. Keep the ACC and Big 12 stable. There's not a next round scenario where the Big 10 doesn't come out a decisive winner, regardless of who the SEC gets.

Just go ahead and award LSU the SEC West Pod and Clemson the SEC North Pod Championships from now until the next realignment.

If you are part of the family then you have to respect the family history. Too much ACC vs SEC cross scheduling to ever go to 9 games. Instead of the SEC bending to the will of the Hogs, why not have the Hogs bend to the will of the SEC.
Have the Hogs play the equivalent of an SEC cross ACC game
a) Oklahoma every year in Dallas just to piss off Texas
b) Home and home with Kansas just to mess with Missouri
c) Home and home with Wisconsin just for the ratings
d) Home and home with Minnesota just because Hogs vs Gophers sounds funny

This would be the easiest conference so count me in. But FSU and clemson won't happen.
