Johnny Cash.

Yet the marketing people at Ark would rather play other, hokey, stupid trash country at games and never, ever play Johnny Cash.

Moonlight Feels Right by Starbuck mentions Ole Miss.

"You say you came to Baltimore from Ole Miss."

About the 1:23 mark

Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl: "behind the stadium with you." That's supposed to be Tiger Stadium. He was recording in New Orleans and went up to BR for a game with friends. Or that's the legend.

this is most assuredly just a legend. it was recorded in new york

Browneyed girl was the first single he recorded solo. the two albums he recorded before then were with his band them. in europe.

jimmy buffet's notes from his cover:

This has been one of my favorite songs since the early days in New Orleans when it was first a hit. Rumor had it that Van Morrison was a student at LSU and the stadium in the song was Tiger Stadium. Van’s supposed attendance at LSU has been proven untrue, but the song is a summertime anthem. Our addition to this anthem is the great steel drum arrangement written by Robert Greenidge. He thought Van Morrison was from Trinidad and wrote it about the soccer field in Port of Spain. That Van sure got around.

They put on a hell of a show as well and play in CS all the time. Some of them may have gone to A&M , not sure. Judging by your taste in music you should definitely check out if anyone is playing in College Station if you are making the trip down for the Arkansas game next year.

I'm definitely considering going down there this year. Will all depend on my work schedule this coming year and how much vacation I get. What bars have the best shows in college station?

Hurricane Harry's gets the best shows now. I've seen Pat Green there a couple times, Whiskey Myers, Charlie Robison, Randy Rogers, etc. The Tap also occasionally has good shows, that's where Cory Morrow usually plays. The Texas Hall of Fame used to get great shows as well but it closed unfortunately. Chilifest (right outside College Station) is in April too, which always brings a great Texas country lineup and is an awesome time with about 40-50,000 people there drunk as hell
