Arkansas native Johnny Cash's infamous 'Sooie' during Folson Prison Blues. He was known to yell this a lot during his live shows.

There's a ton in songs by Robert Earl Keen, including the "Front Porch Song" which is entirely about A&M/College Station. There's several in other Texas country songs by some alums and artists as well. Not sure if REK or the others qualify as "famous" outside the state though.

there was a song back in the thirties by crooner Rudy Vallee called "football Freddie" about alabama's all american linemen fred sington.
