UGA is deficient in the secondary but has good talent everywhere else.
At quarterback? Really?

The fact that Mizzou could win the east, and lost to Indiana, says a whole lot about the east.

1) We are comparing Week 6 of the season to the entirety of last season. That is an immediate flaw.
2) I said many times on here last year that Mizzou could've beaten any team in the country. They were one of the most cohesive teams I have ever seen. Has nothing to do with the East being up or down.
3) As of right now this season, I believe that MSU is a legit SEC title contender. I don't quite see the same balance and consistency with Ole Miss but they are very very good. I think this year's MSU and Ole Miss are very similar to last years Mizzou and USCe with the caveat being that it is Week 6.
4) Because of #1, our frame of reference is skewed. Therefore, the perception is that Bama and Auburn are still elite playoff contenders and that A&M is a very good squad that is very hard to defend and still very much in the hunt. That is based on them beating down South Carolina whom we have learned is not very good. Still, a good team should beat a not-so-good team and they did so handily, on the road no less.
Now, it could be that Auburn and Bama are 8-5 squads which would be comparable to Georgia and Florida faltering last year (largely due to injuries - it's a fact). In that case, I would say the division is very comparable to last years East. It's not that all the teams are elite, its just that a couple of elite teams took the place of those that are normally there.
6) Arky = this year's Vandy so far. They have proven they can be competitive.
7) As a previous poster pointed out, you know good football when you see it. Let's not be naive. We all watch enough football here.
8) LSU sucks. No two ways about it.
