The fact that Mizzou could win the east, and lost to Indiana, says a whole lot about the east.

Geez, great that MSU is having an outstanding year, thus far. But, seriously, it is not the norm.

Do you understand how CFB works? Mizzou losing to any given team on any given day, does not mean any team Mizzou beats would lose to the same team on any given day.

There is no way that could happen here on the SEC Rant.

Shame on you for implying that.

My bad. I beg tRant's forgiveness.

Best part about it is even if the streak somehow lasts to the last week of the season, it will end there. The East is charitable in that department. Funny how it only takes a new coach one year to bring our program from the worst it's ever been in its entire history to better than Mizzou.

Wat? It's not like the West traditional powers are so down that they are getting beat by lowly teams from other conferences. The other West teams have just improved...

It isn't because of just WHO is on top of the division, it REALLY IS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE PLAY. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to recognize poor football when he sees it.

In the East, Kentucky has improved a lot, but USCe, Tennessee, Florida all look like they are down right now. Georgia may have "talent", but isn't that the fallacy right there? What makes them good if they haven't beaten a good team convincingly?

Being good isn't just because you have "talent", it comes from looking strong as you win games against tough competition. (i.e. beating top 20 teams in convincing fashion)

I believe we're talking about last year's East, yes?

Funny story, we didn't lose to a West team last year.

Simply put its this.

Through week six of the season the East has 15 losses total. 9 of them have been from other East teams.

Through week six of the season the West has 6 losses total. ALL FROM WEST TEAMS.

In other words for yall that can't put 2 and 2 together the West has ONLY lost to itself when 2 West teams play and one MUST lose.

While in the meantime the East has losses to 3 OOC teams and 3 West Teams.

That is why the West is best.

Just like we tell the other conference during bowl season. To be the best you gotta beat the best. Right now no one else can beat the West.

Sorry that i dont feel like reading through 5 pages of yalls shite.

But when the OP says

quote:

The West is stronger than ever when Ole Miss and State peek into the top 5 mid season but the East is as weak as its ever been when South Carolina and Mizzou FINISH the season ranked 4th and 5th.

Looks like he is trying to argue that its not.
