How can anyone put Murray above McCarron? The simple fact is that McCarron had a pick for every 65 passes he threw. Murray had a pick for every 28 passes he threw.
Well, it's easy to tell, by simply watching a football game, that Murray is better than McCarron. Plus, Murray put the team on his back and put up much, much better numbers. It's not even close between the 2 at this point.

AJ has probably reached his ceiling at getting better.

umm, how do you figure that? AJ was a high ranked QB recruit coming out of high school. He has as much talent as those guys, well Shaw definitely. If his ceiling was reached in the NC game, and he consistently plays like that this year, then the SEC is fricked, again.

My question is UGA's staff retarded? Who lets a guy throw the ball 400 times if they throw 14 picks? That is beyond stupid.

Well, 400 throws is a lot of throws over a CFB season

20 games worth at LSU....14 int's would be nothing

1 per game

Why are you being so sarcastic?

He is talented QB, but isn't flashy. Runs his offense very well and efficient. But he isn't extremely mobile, he has a decent arm but it isn't huge either. He will be a very good college QB and could very well go down as one of ya'lls better QB's, but he won't really improve from where he already is. Bray and Shaw on the other hand have high ceilings and will only get better from here on out.

McCarron=excellent game manager/decent arm
Bray, Shaw= strong arms/can move well in pocket/still need game management skills

McCarron has what Bray and Shaw will get with time. But Bray and Shaw have what McCarron will most likely never have as strong an arm.

Then why did Murray throw so many picks? I thought UGA was supposed to have a balanced offense. Not to mention this was Murray's 2nd year as a starter?

meh, he has yet to lead his team to a meaningful victory over a good opponent. Murray is good, but he is overrated.

C'mon man. Apparently the flare-up was due to one posters list of:
1) Tyler Wilson
2) Aaron Murray
3) Tyler Bray
4) Connor Shaw
5) AJ McCarron
I posted the actual performance ratings of 2011 which showed there isn't much difference. Wilson threw a lot more, then Murray. Is there really any performance gap between those 5? Except maybe Wilson?

Because he threw the ball over 400 times? You're also overlooking how many touchdowns passes he threw last year. And what does this being Murray's second year as starter have to do with anything? He improved a ton from last year to this year.

Bray and Shaw will never have a ring either. Who cares how strong an arm a guy has if he can't manage the game? That seems to be a derogatory comment but isn't to manage the game and win the whole point of being a QB? But when our guys do it something is wrong with them.

I can agree and disagree with you on this.

Personally I'm ready for the Hunter/Rogers and Banks/Broomfield matchup in Starkvegas this year.

QB's are supposed to limit turnovers. Any QB to be considered good would need to do better than throwing a pick every 28 pass attempts.

Oh come on...you gumps get old with your high horses.

You think no one is as good as your guy or your team.

LSU hasn't had a QB in 5 years...and we still have won 2 SEC titles in that time frame.

Now, if Zack is a good as advertised, shouldn't LSU fan be the one saying the SEC is fricked?

Bama had a great game plan against LSU...and AJ was money that night...he threaded the needle a few times....he doesn't strike me as the kind that will do it consistently. he is a good manager of the game...doesnt' hurt you...

Zack has more NFL type talent as you will learn this season

It's called that part comes with time hence the word potential. That's why college coaches are more in depth with the play calling because they help the QB progress by helping him out in certain situations. McCarron doesn't really need that help. I'm trying to compliment your QB, while also being honest that he is probably as good as he'll get. (Never said he was bad either) You Bama guys are just too dumb to realize that.
