Then what does that say about the team that couldn't even beat crappy 'ol 6-5 then?

Let me just post how this convo would go from here on out:

I would have also mentioned that Ole Miss has gotten a better results vs every common opponent. Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Texas A&M have all played Ole Miss and Arkansas. Ole Miss has beaten all of them, Arky is 2-2. Ole Miss got better results in the games Arky won, too. That puts Arky @ 1-4 in my book. So yeah, I appreciate you saving me the time of arguing with someone so close minded.

That Ole Miss lost a game to an inferior team.

It happens.

You have to analyze it pre and post-Chubb and pre and post-Grier. If those two are still playing, the rankings probably look like this:

1. Bama
2. UF
3. UGA
4-8. Any combination of Arky, MSU, OM, UT and LSU
9. AU
10. aTm
11-14. Any combination of Mizzou, USCe, Vandy and UK.

Without those two playing, 2-8 is a jumbled mess.

Three years into Bert and you're still rebuilding? Saban won an SEC champ at Bama in year 2. Hugh Freeze got Ole Miss to a NY6 bowl in year 3. When is construction expected to be complete?

If Ole Miss wins against MSU this weekend we have a decent shot at either the Citrus or Sugar Bowls (depending on what UF does).

We'll finish the season with another top 15 ranking too.

Ya'll will be 7-5 and playing is some little bowl that nobody cares about.

But I did melt a little over a loss to such an inferior team with so much on the line.....WAOM.

I think it's pretty clear that Ole Miss and Arkansas are better than LSU.

Yeah, but LSU beat MSU and MSU beat Arky. Arky beat UT, but I really think UT may be the best team in that entire group.

LONG arse POST INCOMING.

Now since you called me out, here's a long fricking post on how I view this whole debate. What I'm looking at here is recent times. Arky's season made it's big turn from bad to much better 5 weeks ago (counting this week).

Arkansas is responsible for taking Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU and almost taking Mississippi State out. Arky also slapped UTM, not too important, but something that needs to be noted. 4-1 for Arky, a team that at the beginning of the season nobody believed would pull wins like that out. It shocked me a good bit.

Ole Miss on the other hand, their last 5 games have not looked as pretty as Arky's. I'll give you A&M and LSU, no denying that..but having trouble with Auburn doesn't look so great when Arky scored many more points on them then Ole Miss could. You blew it against Arky (big game here), a team who at the end of the day wanted it more than you and outplayed you at the end. And lastly, you got a big time shock when Memphis came to beat you. 3-2 Ole Miss, a team that started the season strong, but has had some uglier looking showings closer to the end which changes my overall opinion of them.

That's how I view them both now. I value more recent stats then earlier ones because we see how much a team changes. Ole Miss has changed for the worse while Arkansas has changed for the better and overall has looked better these past few weeks.

I'm sorry if you don't agree, but don't call me close-minded simply because you don't agree. I've seen the stats and I've formed my opinion using those stats. I'm done arguing about this though, I wasted enough time typing this long arse comment. I agree to disagree with you and that's that from me.

I feel certain you didn't watch Auburn vs arkie or Auburn vs Ole Miss. But Ole Miss is a better team. Auburn should have beat arkie and played very poorly but managed to get it to OT and still give it away on a couple of occasions. Auburn only gave up 24 to arkie in regulation. That was in arkie as well.

Auburn could have played better against Ole Miss, but Ole Miss controlled our game more than we did and really Ole Miss wasn't in much danger of loosing in the 4th quarter. That was a road game for them as well.

I mean this only in the very nicest way, but putting LSU in the five spot is going to draw hysterical laughter at best. Not after the last three weeks.

This will be an interesting game between two teams trying not to win and similar in that neither has a QB or a D.

OM should be 7-4 right now. They managed a fluke win against Bama to get to 8-3 so far
