After watching a little of Georgia Southern vs. Georgia and catching the scores of South Carolina vs. The Citadel and Florida vs. Florida Atlantic...I'm trying to gather how the SEC stacks up. Quite frankly, after Alabama, the conference just is a headscratcher.

I agree with this for the most part.

Just switch Ole Miss and Arky in my opinion.

This is nonsense. Forget the 1 point difference in H2H scores and check the total resumes. 6-5 Arkansas is not better than 8-3 Ole Miss just because Arkansas won the head to head matchup.

Let me just post how this convo would go from here on out:

"Well Ole Miss got slapped by Memphis!"

"Well what about Holy Toledo?!"

"Well, Arky still beat Ole Miss anyways."

"Well...so what, I don't care! We beat Bama!"

"Mhmmm." *shrugs* "Still don't agree with you."

"Ditto!"

I just saved both of us a lot of time.

Pretty much, though it would eventually descend into Bert is fat and Ole Miss having a losing streak to the Hogs.

A&M would still curb stomp Moo State. Arky is a bad matchup for us but we beat them at a neutral site.

It's Bama then Ole Miss then A&M or Florida. Anything else is not objective. If LSU beats A&M then obviously it changes but that's the only reasonable list.

I'm a little bit confused how you can be ranked higher than us when we have the same exact record and we've beaten you head-to-head. Not that I think that we should deserve to be anywhere above 5th at the best, but it seems a little asinine to have two teams (Arkansas & Clanga) ranked higher than us when we a) have the same or a better record and b) have the H2H on both for the year.

Exactly. They're all caught up in the moment and lack objectivity.

Where do I start? First, 13 points is not a curb stomping. Second, no one outside of College Station thinks that you'd beat us now.

Bottom line is that teams progress and regress throughout the year. No matter how much you want to believe that State is the same team you saw in the beginning of October.

Because they are called power rankings, not the fricking standings.

Arkie is 6-5.

They should be 7th or 8th on the list.

That would be subjective. There's no logical reasoning for that. Our last game was more impressive than yours if you want to go that route.

At the end of the day we beat you by 2 TDs. Deal with it. You have a nice season but objectively A&M is the better team.
