I am on topic.he is bitching about a non call and I am pointing out other non calls...I guess the OP just wants to point out one play like it was the only one that should be reviewed. They were watching play and did not flag it..that should be enough right?

Dial lowers his shoulder and uses his forearm and shoulder to hit Murray in the chest

His forearm is the last to make contact, and without a frame by frame, it's tough to make a case whether his helmet or shoulder hit first

I agree with your argument and I hate that aggressive play is being taken away from modern football. However SEC officials has said that a flag should have been thrown, so I am not sure you can just dismiss it as a "clean" hit.
A flag for "unnecessary roughness" I would have been okay with. That's an extreme grey area and you could say he crossed the line (even though no one can clearly say where the line is)

But you can't suspend a kid when he didn't actually do anything illegal, he was just too rough. That's absurd.

No, you really don't. As much as you want to go all head in the sand here, the video shows helmet to helmet at a minimum. It was an unnecessary hit.

He led with his shoulder, but contact with his head and Murray's head was made in the process. That is a penalty.

IDC either way since Murray was fine the rest of the game. Had it injured him, then there would be justifiable cause for a call of foul play.

If the league suspends him they should also suspend the Georgia player who first laid an equally vicious h2h hit on McCarron.

Anyone got a video or gif of hit by the Georgia player? Not trying to argue about it, just haven't seen it.

Explain to me how a fricking still picture (from only the neck up) is going to establish whether his forearm or helmet hit first?

lol...he didnt fricking see it coming, my god he got de-cleated. and the tackle literally was in progress as he hit him. Its not that he hit him, its how. It was a blatant foul and attempt to take him out.

No, yall just dont know the rule.

Here it is.

Again.

1. Leading with the crown of the helmet
or
2. Contact above the shoulders on a player who is obviously out of the play

this would be an interesting case study on 'peoples ability to see what's really happening, as opposed to seeing what they want to believe.'

Happens in sports all time.

True. This thread is case & point.. every non-gump thinks its penalty-deserving, every gump thinks it isn't. It's easy to see what's going on here.

Get over it, lads, the SEC officials know alot more about this than you do, considering y'know, it's their job..

What's worse a helmet to the head, or a lineman landing on your groin area?

Murray got both!

I cannot disagree with that at all. I guess it all comes down to what Slive decides to do with this one.
