Number of A&M baseball games outside the CWS I've watched since going to school in the late '70s and before SECN: 0. Not because I didn't want to, but because they weren't available.

This year with SECN: conservative estimate is 50.

So yeah, I'm a fan. Of Finebaum not so much.

I doubt they'll cancel him. I've not heard any of that. And if there are any live games, they always move him to the alternate channel.

That wouldn't be one I picked, the best kept secret had yet to reach his prime, still good tho.

I agree...I opened the post with that.

I LOVED being able to watch almost every Alabama Baseball game even though the quality from the Hoover games with shite awful...at least I wasn't pay $12 extra month to Tide.TV for it.

I'm saying it could be so much better if they didn't care about appealing to the Dirtnecks football-only fanatics that actually listen to Finebaum's drivel.

Finebaum doesn't really seem like the firestarter he used to be. I think in the doldrums of summer, blowhards from the deep south are the only ones willing to talk college football at 1 on clock in the afternoon on a work day. It's not a bad concept, even if the show needs to evolve. I think eventually they'll have more school specific content and documentaries. It's just the first year.

I think it's mostly terrible outside of the additional games (even then I loathe the commentary).

"I wish they'd show old games like CSS used to"

The SEC Network certainly has room for improvement but on its worst day it's better than CSS. Couldn't stand CSS which was an UGA/Atlanta circle jerk that insisted on shoving Atlanta area pro sports talk that even Atlantans didn't care about down everyone's throat. Alabama also had about a 2-87 record on CSS replays. They literally never showed us win.

disagree. Baseball coverage alone has made it worth it to me. I've been able to watch damn near every game the Ags have played. It has been years since I've followed an entire baseball season. I don't watch their "sports talk" programming so I can't really speak to that, but in terms of being able to watch your schools minor sports it has been amazing.

Although, I can understand bama fans hating their single camera baseball coverage, but that's more on you guys than the network I would imagine.

Forget Finebaum being polarizing or whatever. During the season, I can sometimes enjoy the show if they're talking about Alabama or big matchups and such. But holy shite that show is unwatchable in the offseason. That shite is the most boring TV I've EVER watched. It's on 4 hours a day isn't it? How is that even possible?

I'd rather there be more games and less

Finebaum is just a rantard with a suit and a microphone.

I think its been great in the sense of showing a tin of sec sports that are normally ignored.

With that said, get rid if finebaum he sucks.

I'd really like to see hour or half hour shows about the schools in the SEC. Have each school produce the show and put it out there. We could really use those hours that Finebaum takes up.

Agreed. Even if they put it on in the wee hours of the morning. And even if it was produced by the SEC Network themselves. Bring those SEC writers ESPN pays in on them.

Something. Anything.

Wanted to clarify that I've really enjoyed all the added games and sports. But I'd rather watch women's volleyball than listen to Finebaum.

But that probably goes for anything so...

I wish they had a call in show on Saturday night after all the games in the SEC were over.
The melts from LSU fans after some of their losses this past year would of been epic.

SEC Network has been Underwhelming

That's an understatement, it's been awful. When it first launched in August, I thought surely when football season starts they won't continue to air Finebaum for 4 frickING HOURS A DAY, but they still are. It's like they got their money from the TV deals and now they're putting out a crap product because they already got paid.

And most games now are staffed by students making minimum wage. In some cases you have students working for free as part of a class, so they're actually paying to work at the SEC Network and the network is getting free labor.
