Tennessee should not be considered a top-10 loss for LSU in 2005. They sucked, the pollsters were simply wrong on Tennessee in the beginning of 2005
Agreed. And on the other end of the spectrum, LSU gets zero credit for beating the 2013 Auburn team that finished #2.

Okay, I did. I learned you don't coach against many ranked teams at CMU and therefore most of those games happened elsewhere.

Yes, 2 of his losses to ranked teams came while at CMU. The most important thing to look at is how he did against equal competition in conference.
He was 21-3 in conference in his time there. Impressive
